I think Miguel Cotto has it all- Offense, Defense, Disipline and a good chin, but can he handle an animal like Hatton? Cotto's one of my most favorite fighters, but after watching the Torres fight where he was wobbled once or twice and the Corley fight when he got rocked, I'm a bit nervous. Who do y'all think will win, when they hopefully face off this year???
for fingering? leave it up to scap to jump the gun ... patience man!
Thats exactly what my god damn wife said!
"Hunny it was just a little fingering" scap's wife
I had to fire the whole lot of them for some reason or another they (including my wife) thought it was ok to finger her from time to time-never any real penetration but still the fingering just didnt sit right with me...was I wrong to have that feeling?
Anyways I hired a bunch of homos...they dress alot nicer and there so fucking neat it is ridiculous you should check out the edge on my grass-fuck it looks good!

also, watch out for juan manuel lopez, top rank just signed him and apparently the guy is something to behold. he'll be on the erik vs. pacman undercard. :boxing:
Wow 8-0(8kos), so far so good. I guess I will get to see him on that undercard!
Cotto beats Hatton 7th round TKO on cuts.
Sorry but Cotto's style is way more technical and Cotto has the ability to cut very well ;) so look for the end result of that fight to end on cuts!
Oh and for our last hope, I think you don't know much about boxing,....... at least Puerto Rican Boxing;
We have Ivan Calderon, Cotto, Juan Diaz, JOnathan Oquendo, Cintron(look for him this year),and Jose Nieves. So you are very, very wrong when you say he is our "last hope".

Juan is Mexican, isn't he?
Looks like the pr guys are the only ones that think that Cotto has an opportunity vs the hitman, but reallity says something different! PR has his last hope in Cotto and that's what makes them think he will prevail against the greatest!, wonder why that fight is not around the corner?, how come Maussa went to England to try to unify while Cotto was wearing his "pantallas" and shaving his eyebrows?
If Cotto's managers think that he is not ready for the big 140 lbs fights and wants him to move on to 147 lbs, there is no way Cotto's name will be undefeated by the end of this year, there is no chances for him against Hatton (in 140lbs.), Mayweather, Judah or Margarito!, Sorry boris!...

Naw, the Zab/ Mayweather fight is already a done deal (if Zab wins tomorrow) and it's a non-title fight-
Boxrec has it down as a title fight for the WBC.
Hard to know what to believe.
Many people in here are totally wrong, Cotto is the much bigger guy and has more power, he's too big and Cotto won't let him bully him, if Hatton starts with his dirty work, Cotto will also elbow him and get dirty.
Cotto has a ton of heart and has a street mean streak in him that he displays when he's in the ring. Hatton is a very good fighter but he beats his opponents by outworking them and being rough and tough with them , I don't see that working with Cotto, he's as tough as they come.
Plus, we'll have to see how Cotto does from here on in terms of getting rocked because Bob Arum said a few weeks ago Cotto had surgery on an ear drum he damaged in the Corley fight that was causing him balance problems, which may have been the reason he was getting rocked, he took better shots from Bailey and didn't even flinch, that was before the Corley fight,I think his chin is OK.
He may not have a choice. Hatton would outwork anyone.
Hatton really isn't usuallythe initiator of the dirty work, but if he is being fouled he'll foul back.
Naw, the Zab/ Mayweather fight is already a done deal (if Zab wins tomorrow) and it's a non-title fight- Witter looked poor in his last two fights, but that may well just be because he has had his fill of European level fighters, Kotelnik's shown himself to be solid after Junior narrowly beat him (I hear Kotelnik is a possible Cotto opponent as well, he'd be a respectable keep busy opponent for Cotto I reckon).
Some sources seem to be suggesting that the WBC Welterweight title is on the line in the Floyd vs Judah fight as well.

i'm pretty sure the WBC wont be vacated since its a non title affair, the judah fight. floyd can jump btwn 140-147 w/ ease and hes not the giving up titles type of guy - he knows there is money in both divisions so staking his claim would be wise. nevertheless, a fight w/ witter/cotto would be a very good scrap. junior's looked VERY good recently.

Good points--- Witter-Cotto would be another great fight--- It didn't do Ricky any harm feasting on no hopers, it was frustrating but the strategy seems to have worked (they put him in with fighters with good chins most of the time, seems to have been a good idea). Lets hope Cotto and Hatton fight next year.
I don't really like the WBO belt much, and fighting Kelson Pinto for the belt made it a little bit less credible.
Despie that he has obligations accompanying the belt: He should fight WBO ranked number 1/2 challengers (Witter) rather than patsies like Balbi Baggins.
On another point of interest: Should Floyd beat Judah then Witter will probably get the WBC, as such a fight with Cotto would be a good eliminator for the undisputed crown and a massive match in its own right.

whole heartedly agree - witter is a very worthy opponent, so now the WBO is not very meaningful, lol you brits are fiesty!! like debating w/ my sister! witter being signed to gbp doesn't help his chances to fight cotto (who again is toprank) - yeah, chalk this balbi (i hope this fight doens't come off) fight, to equate to the type of no-hopers that ricky feasted on from day one. good things for miguelito in '06.
prove me right cotto!

Its an ironic situation, but nevertheless true i'm afraid. Fighting jumped up lightweights when you've got a (albeit not very meaningful) title just isn't cricket i'm afraid. Witter deserves a chance at a title (from his whole career post Zab, not from his lacklustre showings against Kotelnik and Lynes) and is a name that would go someway towards convincing the Cotto doubters that he means business.
