Shannon Briggs wants Sam Peter asap

peter is no way near Briggs take into consideration that briggs has been very busy and is clearly determined to get one more shot. he is in good shape for his standards and i would expect him to show up in top shape against peter.... meanwhile peter showed up 8 pounds heavuer against hawkins than he was 3 months earlier against klitschko, and i wouldnt be surprised if he came in 5 more pounds heavier against briggs. if he fights like he did against hawkins there really isnt anything stopping briggs from boxing his way to victory. peter basically cant do jack shit against someone who can smother him. hawkins figured out within 3 rounds how to stay out of peters way and briggs will likely do the same. the big question mark in this fight will be whether or not briggs can get up and fight back if he is knocked down. cause he should be able to win 8 rounds if it goes the distance.

He looks like a marathon runner compared to Briggs. Dont talk about stamina.....nobody is buying that. Briggs was huffing and puffing after 1 round with Okine. Peter went the distance with Wlad and was still throwing punches. What did he throw in 9-12, like 8 punches a round if I remember correctly? Might be off by a few but the point is, he was as good as dead in the later rounds. If he had an ability to throw combos and wasn't tired as hell in the 10th, he would have finished Wlad there and then. I actually agree that he has no stamina. He does have great chin and power but lacks fundamental skills.

I hope this fight happens. I can see Briggs schooling Peter, similar to how Moorer was taking it to Foreman. Hrm, we all know how Foreman-Moorer turned out. Regardless of the outcome, I believe this would be a very entertaining matchup. :)

this would be a good fight, for both fighters. briggs needs to beat another name (aside from mercer) and peter needs another name also. and both fighters need to get back to the top. its pretty much a make or break fight. peter by TKO.
