flash kd! congrats to boom boom. well., thats another lesson to remember for him. hope he gets good training and be smarter next time.
btw, where are those haters calling rey bum bum??
Good post mayne!!!! Sorry for the late reply. Barely visit.Thanks. Just trying to help some see the thing in its proper light, pal. Good to see ya drop by!:)
A fairly large number of people were impressed when JMM got a draw after falling three times in the first round in the hands of Pac. Bautista turned everything around after that second round KD and won by UD.
Rafael Marquez has three losses on his record: all by stoppages. In his first officially recorded outing he suffered an 8th round KO in the hands of veteran Victor Rabanales in 1995. Some three years later he was taken out (TKO) in the third by a fighter named Mateos. Then, in November 2000, he was, in the 2nd round, KOd by Genaro Garcia.
That comes up to 12 and a fraction fights for every KO/TKO loss, given that he has todate, 38 officially recorded fights. Rafa is seldom, if ever, called glass chinned.
Bautista is 19-0 with only one KD suffered which he turned into a W by UD.
This is not saying Bautista is ready for Marquez, right now. All that is being said is that Bautista, despite the KD, still is on track to a date with Rafa.
But if I were to be asked, I think Bautista should take up a couple of fights next year and then try to face WBA Bantam king Wladimir Sidorenko, who has only 6 KOs in an 18-0 record. The Germany-based Ukrainian won the vacant title after unanimously decisioning Julio Zarate in Feb this year.
To face Sidorenko, however, it seems Rey has to fly to Germany. Sidorenko does not have a very active travel plan and passport: he has fought only twice outside Germany-- in Poland and his native Ukraine.
If Bautista wins over Sidorenko, he'll have much better credentials when he calls out Rafa; and, yes, better prospects of more $$$$$. It's going to be a unification match, after all.;)

Its an outstanding performance for young pugilist like Rey... the fact that he is just in the beginning of his career and he fought an experienced and tougher opponent and another thing its a lucky punch just like pacquiao experienced with hussien... an abrupt punch! But in the process he was able to redeemed himself and conquered the mexican with his courage and talent altogether... This kid will become a champion someday just stay focus and descipline on what he's doing, he's still young and its a long way to go...
** It should be noted the reason the kid was driven into the ropes to begin with is that he was shook up by a perfect flush right hand, so he took 2 flush rights within seconds of each other and was up quick after the KD. Roach needs to temper that fighting instinct and teach the kid to take the count before rising. Zabby tried to jump up quick a few years and ended up as a highlight joke emailed around the world.
It is hard to tell at this stage. The kid is raw. He definitly is talented though. Remember, even the great Rafael Marquez got Ko'd by nobodies 3 times.
at this stage Boom Boom is a class B or C fighter, but a very good prospect, give him 2 more years and for sure he will be banging with the big boys of the division...
he is 19, he has a lot of time on his hands to improve and get better...
Boom Boom sucks, at best he'll be a solid contender.

=======I was at this fight live and it was sloppy slugish war (pretty entertaining) and I dont know how it looked on tv but Bautista got hell of lucky because i tought for sure he was out! good move on the part of refere for not stopping it.================
** I don't care if you were in Rey's protector, you don't know what you are talking about. He was clocked good but was up at the count of 4 ready to go which he did, as he went after the guy the whole fight and had him running and holding for half of it. Like I pointed out, the kid needs some seasoning, and he got a little last night but he sure wasn't lucky. He worked damn hard and the other guy was lucky enough to be experienced enough to survive against this new young gamer.
you dont allways have to come to the defense I'm just saying that he looked real hurt and trust me youngsta i seen plenty of fights stoped prematurely. i'm not disrespecting you so theirs no need to disrespect my opinion.

I think this guy is way to green or just aint going to make it because Espinosa was just a gate keeper imagine when he gets up their with the big boys. Good thing he's only 19 but i still think viloria is a better fighter then boom boom but when ever any of these two are ready to step it up their be a tough mexican waiting.
yea. good thing it was only like 20 sec left when he got dropped.
Ref stopping it? That's idiotic. You can't stop a fight when a hurt guy is fightin back.
Espinosa sucks. He ran all night.
