Paul Malignaggi... hype or good fighter?

This guy losses as soon as he fights a A class fighter.... He's just hype and all talk... you know what happens to people like that...... AHEM JUDAH!! :cool:

How people here have actually seen this guy fight? I haven't. i've seen a total of 5 of his fights, 2 or 3 on TV. i'm sure someone has a link to his tv fights.

I won't jump the gun on my opinion about his talent, because he hasn't fought anybody notable enough to say he's good or bad at this point. He clearly has talent, he's fast, good movement. He hits like a bitch and that's a big problem, We'll see how he does in the future. Prospects like this these days seem to take a long goddamn time before stepping up their competition so we probably won't know for sure for another couple of years.

The fact that there is so much talent out there provides fighters like malignaggi with opportunities to make a name for themselves. Goodluck to the guy. Hah, the only way his name will get out there is by getting his asswhooped by somebody worth a damn.

ive only seen him fight last friday , but i dont know if he'll be a champ any time soon with all the good fighter in the division. But he is fun to watch. He should talk shit and showboat some more.

He has the potential to go far, but we've all seen many fighters who have had potential and gone off the rails. We'll have to wait and see with Paulie here.

Exactly and the crowds were booing him, like they booed Naseem. Dude is entertaining. I think his cockiness is partly an act to intimidate his opponents and psyche himself up before a fight. In the one post-fight interview I've seen of him he was really quite humble. What ImSoFlyy said about meeting him seems to confirm this. He's a hell of an interesting fighter to watch, the way he gets those quick jabs in that still seem to do damage. Will have to see him against better caliber opponents before making a final judgment on his prospects, though, and like a lot of guys have said already hopefully injuries won't continue to bother him.

The kids hands are beyound fragile and he has no KO power, so he's got those 2 very important things going against him. I've seen about 5 of his fights and I do think he is a talented kid, and that he has potential, but I just don't think it'll be enough to overcome those 2 huge flaws he has in his game.

I would have to see him step up against a halfway decent opponent first. The only times I have seen him were against no-hopers.
