Ruiz lost twice in 2005 and without a belt to his name, he will have to win a big fight to get another shot. I don't see this happening, so Ruiz may be out for good this time.
As for Norman Stone, I must applaud him for standing up and verbally assaulting Germany although doing it solo might have been a dumb idea. While this decision wasn't the worst German decision by any means, it's time somebody actually protested it then and there instead of waiting to get back to the states.
Ruiz is no draw without a belt, that's why Don has gone to great efforts to keep him his belt. Now Don has decided to trade Ruiz out for Valuev (the decision to trade for Valuev was made as soon as the fight was proposed), and Valuev would have won a decision even if he didn't win. I thought it was 116-112 Valuev. Ruiz just had no answer for the jab, really.
Ruiz may make one more farewell fight, but I think it's more likely that'll he'll just retire if he doesn't get the rematch.
I couldn't agree more. Ruiz was traded for Valuev. I don't believe in a rematch since King now has a 4 fight option on Valuev and that is worth more than the rest of Ruiz career even if Valuev only manages to defend the title once or twice. Ruiz will at most be used to try to take out non Don King contenders is my guess.
So to note this was not another German robbery (if you should think it was so) but then at least one in cooperation with Don King.
P.S. I had 114-114 but several rounds were close so it could have gone either way.

Norm stone wasnt protesting shit his stupid ADD ass has no control over his mind or emotions Ruiz would have been better without him why don king did not force ruiz to get rid of fucken retard I will never know ruiz if ruiz would have had a real triner and not a clown in his ear he could have done even better. Not to back ruiz but stone is a fucking mutant
best statement ever. I'm not making fun of you or anything, that just sounded so funny I'm crackin up over here
even boxing fans, hardcore, casual, or otherwise really dont like to pay to see ruiz. ruiz will have to rely on king to produce the money cuz ruiz cant draw for shit.
Casual fans of sports and boxing hardly know who Ruiz is. Poll 100 random people you see on a street and at most 5 will know who he is... And if they do know who he is it'll probably be strictly from his most recent fight.
As I stated in a similar thread, Ruiz has a couple of years left in him, or at least a couple of fights. He can get some decent paydays fighting other big contendors without belts or at least getting a rematch against Valuev.
Fight? When did Ruiz fight? I only ever saw him trying to draw other fellows into his loving embrace. I swear, I would have hit him in the face too, if I'd been in their situation. That doesn't mean Ruiz can fight though. He has deserved to lose every port-Tua fight by DQ.
I didn't say they'd be big ones. However, a rematch in Germany would actually probably be pretty profitable. Or if marketed by king correctly in the states it might draw some attention. True boxing fans know better, but not the casual fan of sports.

We can only hope so. Although, in addition to that hope, we can also hope they both die terribly painful deaths together. It sounds to me like little more than they deserve.
paydays? no1 wants to pay to see ruiz, which is part of the reason why he fought in germany!

the WBA probly wont allow a rematch seeing as how ruiz has lost the title two times in one year and the fact that ruiz is just ruiz. ruiz and his lawsuits and appeals are ridiculous.
He retired after being humiliated by Toney. This time around, him knowing that he actually won the fight, he might stick around and try to get a rematch with Valuev.
good points
