Are JCs injury excuses genuine or not in your opinion ?
I know the Yanks are highly critical & believe they are BS for some reason , but why would he pull out of a glen Johnson fight with a back injury & a Lacy fight a broken hand WHY ? Theres no point being in boxing with the sort of hand speed JC has & that sort of talent if your going to pullout of big fights by faking injuries,
Im no JC fan at all, but i think its silly to suggest he has faked injuries.
Beyer is a joke, did you see him against Woodhall? He looked garbage.
Heck, my former stablemate, the Very limited Glenn Catley, beat him.
And Calzaghe KTFO Catley at the 92 ABA final.

It just shows the difference between British and German judging. Beyer wouldn't have got the decision against Woodhall if Woodhall was a German fighting in Germany.
The thing that really irks me is that the WBC title Beyer has is generally considered a superior belt to Calzaghe's WBO.
Calazghe's camp made that fraud Ottke a 7 figure offer. It wasn' Calzaghe's fault that Ottke is a useless fighter and a coward.
Beyer is pretty much the same as Ottke and not realy worth the time of day.

The problem is that Calzaghe has never made a serious offer to either of them. He has only made an offer to Ottke after he could see that Ottke's legs where gone. And that was a ridiculous low one. Ottke could make way more than that beating a bum at home.
And i don't think someone like Hopkins ducked him since he had big name fighters comming from lower divisions to fight him.
I think the point is that Calzaghe has not made himself attractive enough for Hopkins or RJJ to want to fight him.

sum1 SECOND what he just said??
are you bullshittin me?? plz say your not,
It's true.
Lacy also shamelessly ducked Carl Froch in 2000 in a USA vs England meet, he was supposed to be fighting Froch but didn't bother turning up because he saw how Froch had dismantled one of his US team-mates.
Who gives a fuck if Reid won the that fight or not.
Reid is no way a better fighter than Joe. Reid was humuliated by Lacy, which just showed you Reid was never anything special. Anyone who thinks Lacy will get such an easy ride against Calzaghe is a twat.
reid fought lacy at end of his career and with a shockingly bad build up
wait till u see wat lacy does do calzaghe....its not gonna be funny. Calzaghe is gonna be KO'd in a big way
Had Calzaghe fought Reid instead of Lacy, even the washed-up Calzaghe we see these days, he'd of anihilated Reid in much more impressive fashion than Lacy did. And if you think Lacy beats the Reid of 1996 and first half of 97 then you really do need to wake up to reality.
I agree with that, Reid was garbage in his fight with Lacy, he seemed past it.
calfaggy had a hard time with reid, and lacy destroyed reid. that alone should give you the clue that lacy is superior to calfaggy. and last time i checked, lacy never gave a bullshit injury excuse to avoid calfaggy.
Saint, that was just one fight. Tell me one boxer who has not been involved in a decision that people think ought to have gone the other way. Eubank, Hopkins, Calzaghe, De La Hoya etc all have experienced it. In the end, all these boxers are/were on the whole better boxers than their opponants.
I was absolutely shocked that Reid did as well as he did, because he'd looked absolutely diabolical in his last couple of fights. Had Calzaghe fought Reid instead of Lacy, even the washed-up Calzaghe we see these days, he'd of anihilated Reid in far more impressive fashion than Lacy. And if you think Lacy beats the Reid of 1996 and first half of 97 then you really do need to wake up to reality.
JUYJUY telling me to come to reality... that just doesnt fit at all.

JUYJUY your the one thats biased you always think anyone from the UK beats anyone. Like with your whole thoughts on Eubank knocking out jones in his prime when we all know a prime jones would have an easy UD over Eubank or late stoppage
Agreed ........
Robin Reid was prob best fighter calzaghe fought and that he just about won.....(and dint win in my opinion)

roy jones wud have embarassed calzaghe.....wud have been a joke
calzaghe neva fought an elite class figher (eubank was way passed his best when calzaghe beat him). Robin Reid was prob best fighter calzaghe fought and that he just about won.....(and dint win in my opinion)
no they arent genuine. he makes up these bullshit broken hand excuses, just so he can take a few more months off all the while, avoid a fighter with a heartbeat, namely jeff lacy.
he says his hand his broken then takes a picture of himself with a bandage (not plaster) on his hand to make it look good.
calfaggy's a coward, theres no denying that.

Well Hopkins was offered $3million from Frank Warren's pocket to fight Calzaghe on Showtime for Joe's super-middleweight title in Cardiff, he agreed and the fight was on. This was just after the Byron Mitchell fight. Just before press release for the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight, Bernard backed out and demanded $6million instead. So, Hopkins bottled it.
Ottke and Beyer dodged Calzaghe and would have been destroyed by Calzaghe (as you also seem to think) had they had the balls to face him.
The problem is that Calzaghe has never made a serious offer to either of them. He has only made an offer to Ottke after he could see that Ottke's legs where gone. And that was a ridiculous low one. Ottke could make way more than that beating a bum at home.

Exactly, the only challenges for Calzaghe would of been Jones or Hopkins. And neither of them would fight him, for obvious reasons.
Yes, the reason was obvious. He was a nothing fight because he'd never done anything to prove himself by beating anyone whorth while.
When are you going to get that trough your head?
He didn't take care of challenges in his own division nevermind calling out pound for pound elite.
You're delusional.
I like Calzaghe and all, but... Jones would have killed him. Mid to late round stoppage. As for why that never happened? Probably because Roy didn't like to fight outside the states the same way Calzaghe seems to only fight within his home country. Roy was the champ at the time if I remember correctly, so why go over to a country where the judges will be biased against you and risk your title if the fights goes all the way?
As for Hopkins? He most likely ducked Calzaghe... meh, never liked Hopkins all that much.
Roy fights at 175. How can Roy duck somebody who isn't even in his weight class who has never moved up.
