I have better things to do than to hiss at you, please don't overestimate your importance.
Bozo, try to listen to what others say for once.
Can you quote me saying that Valuev clearly deserves the shot? I guess not. How am I a Valuev's nuthugger all of a sudden?
All I was saying is that in today's division almost everyone got either gift decisions or undeserved title shots. You tried to point out that Valuev doesn't deserve the title shot. I clearly (or so I thought) explained that that is true and expanded to say that division sucks overall so Valuev is getting no more than almost any HW out there.
I honestly don't understand what you are trying to argue about so this is my last post in this "round and round and round we go" discussion.
You've been defending Valuev the whole time, and each time I point out flaws in your logic you change the subject.
I pointed out to you several times that your "everyone's got gift decisions, and no one really deserves a shot" logic is especially flawed with Valuev because he's fought NO ONE outside of Donald. You tried bringing up Rahman, Golota, Ruiz, and tried to point out how they've all got gift decisions and undeserved fights. For the 3rd time, they've all beat other contenders, Valuev hasn't.
He lost to the only worth while fighter he's ever fought, and has done NOTHING outside of that fight.
You've wasted enough of my time here.
The more you keep this up, the more you're showing that your only agenda here is to hiss at me from your firmly attached position on Valuev's nuts.
The point was, I had said I didn't think Valuev deserved this shot because he has 1 fight agaisnt a meaningfull contender, and he lost.
You tried to point out that Ruiz got a gift decision too.
I explained that was true, but that he has other credible wins.
Valuev doesn't. He had one fight agaisnt a meaningful contender, and he clearly lost it.

Ruiz has been a champion for number of years, Valuev is a contender. Of course he hasn't beaten the same level of competition.

Valuev doesn't. He had one fight agaisnt a meaningful contender, and he clearly lost it.
Again, Ruiz has beaten his fair share of contenders. Maybe he got a gift in the Golota fight, but he's beaten credible fighters in his career.
Valuev hasn't.
He lost to the only worth while contender he ever fought, and it WAS a bad decision.
I would call anyone who had that fight scored for Valuev an idiot. That's how bad it was. I had it 8-4 for Donald.

We have all seen worse decisions than that one. Ruiz got more gifts than anybody out there, maybe it's time for him to try his own medicine.

Then you see why it was a useless point to bring up when trying to defend Valuev getting an undeserved title shot.
If Valuev had beaten Donald in a pathetic looking fight (like the way Rahman beat Barrett), I might not have a problem with him getting a title shot in his next fight.
As it was, he was thoroughly outpointed by Donald, and got the classic German gift decision.
That's where my problem with him getting a title shot comes in. He should have lost that last fight, which coincidently was agaisnt the only contender he'd ever fought.

Didn't I just say it was legit? End of story, Bozo.

This is what I'm talking about. This is what's wrong with the board. Someone who only posts on European fighters and then praises the gimmick called Valuev. Please, stay in the lounge.
...Nashy ol tard, my wife knows more about boxing than you. Stick to getting frat hazed and punked by team Fancy and you should be alright.
He won more rounds than Barrett. End of story. You can't say the same about Valuev in the Donald fight.
Didn't I just say it was legit? End of story, Bozo.
My opinion was evident from the 1st post I made in this thread. If you'd care to read and pay attention, you'd see the very 1st post I made is almost identical to what you hilited in the last quote of me you made. You just choose to jump back to the "What if" game.
Rahman beat Barrett. No way could that fight have been scored for Barrett.
Donald was the ONLY noteworthy name on Valuev's resume, and he lost but was benifited with a BS gift decision.
He doesn't deserve to be fighting for a title. Period.
It doesn't suprize me that he is, but don't try and tell me he deserves it.
Never said that he deserves it, all I'm saying is that a lot of "challengers" to the title didn't deserve the shot either. Rahman's win was legit but totally pathetic.
Finally an opinion, although hidden in another half-page essay. BTW, he cannot threated Marciano's record because he has 1 NC, so that takes care of that. Valuev deserves the shot at the title as much as Rahman deserved the shot at the title after his performance against Barrett. Just like Golota deserved 3 title shots. The list goes on. The fact that he is fighting for the title is a reflection of the overall state of the HW division but we will not go into that again, are we?

Maybe you missed it the first time, so I'll say it again. I don't play the "What if" game.
Remember all the "What if Vitali fights and beats..." questions I was asked over and over again? How usefull were they?
The bottom line is that I think Valuev is a big pile of dung. I've seen about 6 of his fights, and he's slow, plodding and I just saw him get thoroughly beaten by Larry Donald.
He doesn't deserve this shot after that last loss and his streak threatening Marciano's record is an absolute joke. He may beat Ruiz, he may lose and get the decision or benifit of bad reffing. Either way, he's a giant pretender.
And finally, the final rabbit shot on the Black Rino may not have been intentional, but it was the (foul) shot that ended the fight. There were other rabbit punches, and other knock downs that stemmed from pushing. Another completely unimpressive preformance.

i will say that valuev isnt very skilled, hes not very exciting, not much of a knockout artist, and hasnt proven anything to show he deserves to be champion... o wait, im thinking about john the bum ruiz...
but the same could be said for both fighters, but at least valuev doesnt try to cheat, hug, and bore the fans to death.
yeah but we all know Donald is awkward and elusive could of just been a bad contrast of styles
Regardless, it's his only menaingful fight to date, and he clearly lost.
Kirk Johnson and Vitali Klitschko beat Donald. Donald has faded since then.
If he was going to garner credibility and earn this title shot, he should have found a way to won. It's not like he didn't have the physical tools at his disposal.
He doesn't deserve this shot at Ruiz, and as much as I want to see Ruiz lose, having the title go from one bum to another does no good imo.
It just so happens it came agaisnt the only deccent contender he ever fought?

alot of you guys are basing him on one fight (the donald one) and saying hes bad. everyone has off nights and maybe that was his

.....I just watched the Valuev/Vidoz fight courtesy of the Fancy's and I must say that I was surprised by Valuev. I had only seen a few clips up to that fight. He has decent skills and is not the no talent freak show that some on this board would have you believe. I just want the guy to rid us of Ruiz. Aside from that I couldn't care less about him really.
