That fight had to be one of the most lopsided fights I have ever seen in the heavyweight division. Vitali simply DOMINATED him from bell to bell.

Williams was just tough enough to extend his punishment as Vitali backed off to save his hands. Basically, Vitali just thudded guys out with repeated blows until they or the ref had to stop them. He KOed Hide with a thudding jab after Hyde had been dropped by a right hand and got up. In this one Williams kept getting up. Recall how he had Lewis reeling about the ring like a drunken sailor.

He was being careful the whole fight, that's why Danny landed I believe 59 punches the whole 9 rounds. Vitali won every round, and really threw Williams off whatever game plan he came in with. You know... come in and get beat on, wait for an injury, and fly into action!
