If RJJ had an off night in his prime, who would he most likely lose to.....
Benn (low style, gets under punches, difficult to catch, body shots, hooks & uppercuts in close)
Eubank (incredibly slippery & awkward to nail, fights at range, good stiff jab, good lead right)
Mcclellan (good speed & range, good mover who tries to outjab before planting feet, great left to body)
Liles? (not seen much of)
Rocchigiani (premature stoppages against Maske & Michalczewski while winning those fights? tall southpaw if i remember from Nunn fight, upright & awkward, european busy-busy style with durability)
Michalczewski? (not seen much of)
Griffin third fight?
Or who else can u think of,?
Out of those guys he listed, I think only Benn, Eubank and G-Man would of beaten him. But the 89-90 McCallum beats the 93-94 Jones Jr quite handily, 87-88 Kalambay beats him too and the Graham that fought Kalule would of humiliated Jones Jr, 87-88 Nunn beats Jones Jr by wide UD.
so, you're basically saying that if jones wasn't a boxer he'd be a bouncer in pensacola with 3 kids from 3 different women
If you want to see RJJ lose on an off night, You'd have to go back to guys like Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns. RJJ was light years ahead of the opponents he faced (ex: Vinny Paziena). RJJ could step in the ring w/ the flu, and still dominate like he did.
Stupid statement. You even admit that Jones fought the shittest opposition available too? WTF, I don't get that.
all those guys could have prolly beat
him on his on nite. but roy never gave
those guys a shot.

I mean Jones Jr at his best too. Nige, G-Man and Chris at their best beat Jones Jr at his best. You can forget the 'off night' stuff.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz boring!
Your biased non sense couldn't be any more dull.

It wasnt close.
Jones carried him.
That clip i just wasted my time with (u could have just typed a response) was not even ONE round. Yes Mike was doing well, BUT the fight went 12 rounds because.....
Jones carried him.
Does the term..out of context mean anything to u?
Its just my opinion. That is shared by a few others.
Ahh, no.
He lost the 1st fight by two rounds.
Go back two years and put him in with a healthy and primed Roy around the time he fought Gonzalez or Hall and that two rounds widens to a near shut out or late stoppage.
I agree with that so i do.
Antonio Tarver beats Roy any night of Roy's career

89/90 McCallum beats 93/94 Jones, just based on how close their actual fight was when McCallum was 40 years old.

"I was way past may best when I fought Roy Jones,” he said. “But I was very fortunate to have been fighting good (when I was) old, you know what I'm saying. I was 40 years old then, but could still fight ok.
"If I had fought Jones in my prime," added McCallum. “The fight would have been different. In my prime I was a bad boy, the fight would have been very different. I was bad I was dangerous. You see I was punching hard and I was rounded as a fighter.
“I could fight inside and outside and had great condition. I was very strong and also, as you know I was a devastating body puncher. When you put all that together I was a very difficult fighter to beat.
“So in my prime I don't see a lot of guys beating Mike. I was very determined and very dedicated,” concluded McCallum.
griffin hardly schooled jones jr in the first time..actually i dont think he was that hurt..he knew he couldnt win so he ran..if u dont have power jones jr wont respect u..and u get abused
thats dumb..leonard no robinson would have enough power for jones jr to respect...hearns was a better fighter then leonard and robinson..u would have done better off saying thomas hearns
So neither Robinson or Leonard would be able to beat Jones on an off night?
