showtime is kicking off o6' with some great fights they have mormeck vs. bell in cruiserweight unification on january 7th. then on feb. 4 its the rubber match between corrales and castillo ...if this wasn't enough on march 4th. its the long awaited macth up between lacy and calzaghe for the undisputed super niddleweight championship !!!!! all these fight will be free for showtime subscribers .....hbo needs to step it up they have the winky vs. soliman on sat... and pac vs. morales in jan. vargas vs. mosley in feb. but these two are ppv ...showtime is on top as far as boxing right now ....
If you have comcast you can just switch back and fourth for $1.99-I do it all the time depending upon which network has boxing on...half the time they switch you over for free.
Yeah man...
It's what I do all the time!
It costs like 50 cents a day to keep something...
After tommorrow I'm cancelling HBO and SHO till January 4th, then I will cancel it again till whenever good fights come on..:D
I can only afford HBO... :(

Right on man. That's why Morales-Pacquiao was the only ppv I bought this year.
Amendment: I just remembered that I think I bought the Trinidad-Wright ppv. Sue me, I really thought they could match up well. Turns out I was wrong.
We as boxing fans are the one's to blame.
We keep on buying these fights that sound good on paper, but turn out to be slow paced, boring fights.
Can you honestly say any of the PPV's have been worth it this year? HBO suck-holed us into buying Wright - Trinidad, Taylor - Hopkins I and II, Jones - Tarver, Gatti - Mayweather. With the exception of Morales - Pacqaiou the fights have been barn burners.
We are the ones to blame as we keep on buying these sub-par events.

Showtime is definitely the way to go. They have had more competitive fights for the basic subscription fee than HBO did over the past year. Nowadays any fight that looks like it might go more than a round or 2 is instantly on Pay-per-view, as far as HBO is concerned, anyway.
Showtime may be keeping up with HBO in terms of boxing but Showtime is pretty much shit. Their shows and movies suck. Just look at HBO, besides boxing, they have The Sopranos, Ali G, Cathouse and most of all, their documentaries.
They cost about the same but Showtime is not even 1/10th of what HBO offers in general.
