Pea is a bona fide GOAT.
He would frustrate Naz so bad he would quit, go home, kill his own family, sh*t the bed, kill the neighbors, kill Manny Stewart,
sodomize Mrs. Manny, sh*t Manny's bed and kill himself.
If you guys are all done deciding who'd win this matchup, can we move on to the next one?
If so...At the Super Flyweight limit of 115 lbs., who wins in a fight between Roberto Duran and Ricardo Lopez?
make a new thread
I agree about the freak part...Before the Steve Robinson fight Hamed fought the usual bum suspects. He WAS back then much faster but less experienced. He would not have been able to defeat a fighter as gifted as Pernell. The best he could have hoped for was a flash knockdown but he wouldn't win many rounds.
Good to see another Derby person on here, bred in Allestree myself but now relocated to San Francisco as my Mrs earns a huge amount over here, so I have the hardship of living in Norcal :)
Ahhh a Derby another Derby boy on here, I was Allestree bred but now located in San Francisco - miss going to the footy, but the Mrs earns a huge amount over here so what can you do?
Whitaker would do Hamed quite a bit worse than what Barrera had done to him. Pernell is a much better boxer in my eyes than Barrera and Barrera made Naseem look like a buster by boxing him. Naseem doesn't have much of a chance in this fight.

On a sidenote, who do you think would have won between Barrera and Whitaker?
a better question.... if barrera primed early in his career in this position, i give him the upperhand :boxing:
Whitaker's slight 5'6'' inch frame befits the size of a featherweight much like Hamed.
To be honest, I didn't know why they were matched up at super-featherweight anways.
I was just being an ass, so it wasn't all that serious of a question.
Still, unless I see two fighters fight at the weight that's specified, I can't judge them accurately against each other.
I also think Hamed looked great against opposition that MADE HIM LOOK GOOD.
Strange coinsidence that Hamed started getting hit when his opposition became world class.
Also kinda strange that some of the guys who hurt him have never been heard of before or since.
Me thinks Hamed was an amazing media machine, good fighter, but overrated as fuck!
With the flashy style, no one would even mention him today.
Can somebody help me out and tell me why these two are even matched up at this weight, which, if I'm not mistaken, NEITHER of the two have ever fought at in the pros?

94-95 Hamed would be far too quick for naturally bigger Whitaker, Hamed was an alien freak until after the Robinson fight.
yeah, because in 94-95 he fought shitty opposition!
get off his nuts, sweet pea would embrass naz
Hamed was 122, Whitaker was 135. Hamed was much quicker, and the best young prospect ever seen in his pre-WBO featherweight champion days.
Barrera was at his peak around 1995, at 122. But the Barrera of the last five years would of hardly stood a chance against Whitaker.
