Why not Hatton-Witter now?

Witter doesn't have that star-studded name like Hatton, or Mayweather does. Witter needs that fight vs. a big name to get his name out there and challenge the big boys. It would be moronic at this point for Hatton's promo team to take on Hatton.

If Mayweather doesn't fight Witter, Witter will get to fight for that belt (WBC), thus giving Hatton a reason to fight him. If Witter gets the belt i'd happy to see Hatton fight him, at least its an excuse to hand him a beating.

Kostya was #1 in the divison why the hell would he give Hatton a shot but he did. im sure he got well paid for it! Unless Witter wins a version of the world title then he should stop calling out Hatton, if Hatton ever loses then maybe he can fight Witter then because I can't envisage Witter winning a title.

Until he beats someone of note, or gets himself into a mandatory position, nobody will fight him for the reason above. So is Judah. No he isnt, he's has exactly the same style but he's abit more capable now. There is a HUGE change in Witters ability and not much in Judahs, Witter gone from a complete clown with zero power to a decent fighter with very good power. They are both overated anyway.

JuyJuy, what are you talking about??? Witter came from the Ingle stable as did Bomber Graham, Naz and Johnny Nelson as well as many others and they all fight the same way!!! Whats it got to do with anything that he didn't get on with Naz, he still would have liked to emulate his former successful stable mates style, power and celebrity(incuding the mouth) I know what I'm talking about. Witter has only been at Wincobank since 1996, and he didn't get on with Naz at all so he wouldn't want to be like him. Witter doesn't fight that much like Naz did, Ingle turned him into what he calls an "attacking counter-puncher" from an outside fighter. It was Herol Graham's style of fighting, not Brendan Ingle's. Herol Graham fought that way before he ever knew who Brendan Ingle was. Ingle was so impressed with what he saw with Graham that he has tried to learn all his fighters that style, but it is not Ingle's style. It's Herol Graham's style, and Herol Graham is ofcourse the hero and idol of that gym.. not Naz.

It doesnt really matter if Graham was the first person to use that style, the fact is Brendan Ingle teaches it now........so it is a Brendan Ingle style. these fighters aint learning to fight like they do from Graham, they are learning it from Ingle.

Personally i'd love too see this fight happen.Witter has beaten N'dou far easier than Miguel Cotto and he beat Kotelnik who just beat Muhammad Abdulaev.I think Witter deserves at least one title shot before he retires.If they have the fight in England do you know how many people will go too see that! :boxing:

Why not Ricky Hatton vs Colin Lynes or Andreas Kotelnik?? :rolleyes: They are about the same level as Junior Witter. I dont know why its OK for Junior Witter to fight bums, struggle to beat them and then demand a shot a the boss at 140? He's just a big mouthed asshole who hasnt proved his worth yet. I want to see Hatton taking REAL fights with WORTHY opponents. Couldn't have put it better myself! Witter has turned up to most of Hattons recent fights shouting his mouth off on how he would destroy Hatton and that Hatton is ducking him! I think this should be Hatton's last fight in Europe. He and Witter should follow Williams-Harrison's example and settle the score before moving on with their careers. there are better fights out there for hatton than witter, it would be a step back for ricky to stay in the uk and beat him. Cotto ideally has to be the next fight for hatton to sweep the division and put pressure for floyd to come back down to show who's the boss at 140 and hopefully make the fight of 06 happen.
