Why Did Vargas Lose To Trinidad And Delahoya?

All of you are right in saying that there were some low blows but common, Vargas could not hurt Tito and Vargas was never the same fighter after he took those blows to the head agaist Tito. Both Tito and Vargas are fighters DLH is a boxer, Tito was just too powerfull, DLH was too good of a boxer. Vargas would have never beat either, especially at that point in his career. Emmanuel Stuart said that after the Tito Vargas fight Vargas was never the same.

Lack of experience?too early to challenge them?weak chin?fought a wrong fight strategy? Because most fighters did :cool:

trinidad hit vargas low to slow him down in the middle rounds..and de la hoya is just flat out better then vargas

Trinidad did hit him with some powerful shots to the nuts!!!! Imagine gettying hit in the nuts by one the hardest punchers of all time! OUCH! Vargas probably cant have kids no more!LOL

He would have beat Trinidad if Tito didn't low blow him everytime he got hurt.

He lost because he lacked, the kind of drive, and maybe even stamina to keep up his attack. Against Trinidad, with the exception of the first anytime he would show some initiative and throw first he would land effectively. It was essentially stare at each other then throw, stare again, throw again. With DLH it was very very similar. Unfortunaly he let DLH have time enough to analyze the situation and DLH sure enough as a smart fighter remembered that he should hold both hands up instead of trying to fight a style that was foreign to him an in the process make mistakes that were costing him. Difference is in the Trinidad fight they were hitting each other with bombs..toe to toe action, DLH just let Vargas take the fight to him while he just laid back countered moved, took his time and once he saw he had him he pumbled him.

I loved that fight I remmember he came out threw a left hook then Tito threw his left hook and just twisted Vargas's cap..I jumped out of my chair like oh shit!!..

he lost to trinidad coz he got caught with u big left hook in the 1st round and although he recovered he didnt look comfortable the rest of the fight. and against de lahoya he got worn down and was caught with another good shot, but this time he did not survive the round!

DLH's hands were too fast for vargas and vargas stamina was not too good Vs trinidad he tried to be brave and paid the price in round 1 I agree with that Vargas is good but i don't see him in the same class as hoya & tito in anything other then power

u serious? i think Vargas would give him a dam good fight, not tha curent one, im talking Prime VArgas. de la hoYa of old would easily beat Winky, and todays Oscar would even beat Winky. WInky is good, but he aint God

He fought wrong againts Tito he fouht Tito to prove that he can fight him like a man not like a chicken which he was refering to the DLH fight. And he lost that fight once he got clocked in the 1st rd, that fight could of ended right there. but he came back boxed and it turned out to be a great fight but he was never the same after that fight it took way to much out of him. Againts DLH he just wanted to kill DLH and outpunched himself and DLH used his brains and just capitalized on him.

i think its a lil of all those reasons.. tito and de la hoya are just all around better than vargas! There ya go! Boy was just out of his league. He is NOT a top tier fighter. Was damned lucky to get the decision against Winky and would never get a win vs. him today. Wright has improved and learned, Sterocious has had his brains scrambled and lost a step or two.

although he could have beat TITO if he fought smarter, TITO and OScar De lA hoya were levels ahead of him, with lots more experience
