Think about this one for a minute. Taylor just beat the best boxer at Middleweight. The brawlers, boxers, and counter punchers at middleweight would suffer the same fate. Even if you did not have Taylor beating Hopkins either of the two fights (wow), who do you see beating him? Wright, no because Hopkins is a better boxer, harder to hit, and Wright has not had a KO since 2002. Wright hit Mosley with his best shots both fights, and Mosley never went down, let alone not even hurt (through Mosley was the smaller fighter).
Taylor will walk right through Ronald's jabs and rights and keep pumping out his own punishment to Ronald. If you tell me Wright's defense is too good for JT, well go watch Vargas get through like he did with the body work and jab. Taylor's jab is better then Wright's and will be the key to opening up the rest of JT's attack throughout the fight. I mention Winky only because he is the biggest threat to Taylor, but I will bet once again Taylor comes out the winner.
The only way Ronald gets the win is of course through a Decision. There is no way he can expect to do that ,and not get KO'ed , or decisioned himself. If X , the best middleweight of the past 15 years can not do it, neither will Winky.
not in my opinion.
There is a guy by the name of Ike Quartey.
And he looked impressive in his last outing despite limited comp.

honestly, at this point i think Wright would have an easier time with Taylor than he did with Trinidad. That's no shot personally against Taylor, that's just an opinion.
edit: before Taylor huggers go on a tyraid here, i think it Taylor would be some-what game, but it would not be a close fight, it'd be very similar to Wright/Trinidad and i think Taylor wants to make the fight cause Taylor has the heart of a real champion, but it wouldn't surprise if HBO doesn't let him make it.
and I think you're a bitter Hopkins fan. fair enough?
Winky would own Taylor. I would like to see Sturm -vs- Taylor also. There are some guys at 154 that can give Taylor problems, Forrest, Ouma, Ike Quartey, Taylor is bigger than all of them but his skills are not all that B-hop 3-4 years younger would of beat Taylors ass.
Like both earlier fights I am willing to back up my predictions. I dont hide with fake Id's or locations. When I lose I pay up, and oh btw has cooler payed up on any of his bets yet lol.
Yeah smart reply when I correctly predicted both fights, and the score by which Taylor would win both. Please go check out all the Boxing Scene's writers ,and all the posters to see who picked Taylor By SD in the first fight ,and Taylor by Decision in the second. If you touch that then you can call me a NEWBIE.
okay, wow, you predicted two whole fights correct. if i knew exactly where you lived in Arkansas, i'd send you a cookie. you're waaayy over your head tho with your new prediction and you don't have to say or reply to anything.. time will prove itself.

imo hopkins ringmanship dictated boring fights with taylor and others.
he's got to work on cocking his right and leaving his left down.
he could fight winky with a different game plan.
i think you're talking about Taylor right? that's the move i was talking about, jerking his right arm back everytime he throws a jab. looks like he's dancing (wish i had a slow-mo clip) :p
kevvy1979, talk about biased, i look at your profile, you're FROM ARKANSAS!! lol j/k everyone is still entitled to their opinions.. :D
Please X lovers enough is enough really. Hide and watch IF Winky steps up and faces Taylor what happens. It will be as I predicted for BOTH of the X fights ,and thats another Taylor victory.Trying to play defense with Taylor gets you on the losing side of the decison, just ask X. Oh and please quit crying robbery, Enough already. ALL THREE HAD IT THE SAME
hmm
you know, as im sitting here thinking about it, you're probably right. I think Taylor would do better than Trinidad or Mostley, but i still feel its a given Wright victory. I wouldn't say Taylor would be really dominated or anything though.
Good call.
Picture in your mind what Taylor would do to Mosley...that would be one UGLY fight. Mosley would get his ass crushed. Taylor-Wright is not a boring fight to me on another note. Wright always comes forward and I enjoy his fights. How exciting have Shane Mosley fights been in the last 3 years that weren't vs Wright? Ask yourselves that, people. How entertaining and forceful was Taylor vs anyone not named Hopkins? I think everyone is underestimating how decent a fight Taylor-Wright can be.

this is all biased bullshit.
walk right thru ronald's jabs? the same way he walked thru hopkins punches?
u make JT out to be the aggressor in the fight when in fact hes just a cautious bitch.
Jermain Taylor can get the decision over Wright, just like he did with Hopkins. He lost but still won. All he has to do is keep the fight close and he will get the W, because the judges love him
things better NOT happen that way.. they might be able to get rid of an aging hopkins, but the judges better not screw with winky
I would bet loser leaves forum for Wright vs Taylor. X was/is a better defensive fighter then Wright ,and Taylor was still able to land his jabs, and some rights.Wright would get his ass beat by Taylor. Please believe that
wow, then i guess if you make this bet with someone, you're gonna be gone just as quick as you showed up, huh?

No. Taylor is not one-dimensional like Tito. Not only that, but Taylor is significantly bigger than Wright. I like Wright. He's a cool guy and a nice fighter. But to say Wright would beat Taylor as easily as he did Tito is assinine. Taylor can at least do better than a faded Mosley did.

Winky will beat Taylor.........
I agree wit USA4LIFE, Winky doesn't need KO pwr to win(Taylor won both times against Hopkins by decision not KO & couldn't KO him if he tried a 3rd time). JT vs Winky is the fight we all want to see, just for the fact that Winky's been Knockin' Out all Bumz(like da Cheif Rocker: Busy Bee) & Taylor is still undefeated with a belt TAKEN from B-Hop(that first fight was suspect though, when does a champ lose his belt on a close decision, it didn't happen to Taylor in the 2nd fight?????). Let me know when the deal is signed, cause after that fight we can but B-Hop back in the mix. Now can ya'll Dig Dat!!!! :boxing:
