Complete garbage. First off, Taylor is 27 years old and had to fight cautious from the opening bell because he knew he didn't have the stamina to go the distance. Sad. But ignoring that, once again the biasness of the HBO crew was sickening. Bozo covered it well, but I'll just add this: again with the exchanges Taylor would land a jab, the crew would go nuts, Hopkins would land a nice cross, and no comment. Lampley used the excuse in the first fight of, "Hopkins landed at a higher percentage but that was all in the later rounds." Tongiht, the punch stats don't lie. Hop outlanded him bigtime tonight, especially in power punches (Lederman claimed Taylor was landing more/better power shots).
I had Hopkins winning handily at 116-112.
Funny how you're the only one who says that ;)
Ahhhhh, the resident know-it-all was wrong. How good it must feel :D
Did you even see the fight Junior? Yes or no.
Because trolling in when you didn't see the fight is a joke.
But that's nothing new coming from you. Immaturity at it's best.
I thought it was BS.
I had it for Hopkins by the same score, but found it easier to score than the last.
HBO was just awful. Lampley was screaming constantly about "flush" shots that landed on the gloves or glanced. Lampley also kept mentioning how Taylor was working his jab in this fight unlike the last one and he clearly wasn't. He averaged 4 jabs landed a round throught the first half of the fight.
He looked lost and aprehensive for the most part, and Hopkins defense was taking away flush shots.
I think I could have counted the shots he landed "flush" on two hands.
Hopkins outfoxed him, and landed the sharper shots.
Poor decision imo.
I had it 114-114. I'm always over critical of the fighter I'm rooting for, so there's good odds I gave a round or two to Taylor where if I was impartial it would've gone to Hopkins.
Both fighters fought an over-cautious fight. I think Hopkins landed the better, harder punches but Taylor was more aggressive and controlled the pace. I hope Taylor doesn't EVER fight Winky. What a borefest...
