That is 100% false. His handlers are not holding him back. He tried to get a fight with Floyd and Floyd didn't take it. Maybe Floyd will take it later, who knows? But Margarito is avoided, plain and simple. He deserves a crack at a real title and it's not his handlers holding him back. I agree with the majority of what you say here, however this is a point which I'll disagree with you on. It's sort of like how Gatti's handlers were...they told him NO NO NO with Mayweather, however he wanted to fight him. Margarito is a tough cookie, but only for the right type of fighter. Someone who can pick his punches off or avoid them and hit him with quick counters (even if they aren't huge shots) will dominate him.

Speed isn't enough? Ok... To bully someone and pound away on their body/arms/chest, they need to be a stationary target for those shots to have any juice. Both Mayweather and Zab are too quick on their feet to let this happen to them, especially against a "slow" fighter in Margarito. Sure he's got power and is a rough fighter, but being rough only works if you can keep on your opponent. They're both entirely too fast to let this happen. PBF would embarrass Margarito...and practically every other boxer under 154 lbs... Mayweather at 154 would be demolished!!! he is crazy to even think of fighting at 154. Anyway, Margarito is bigger and has way more punch than Mayweather. Margarito/Judah would be a great match but I still think that Margarito would win. Winky at 154 would beat all of these boxers. I hate his style and he is more boring than Hopkins to watch, but as Emmanuel Stuart said "Winky is untouchable right now".

there's a lot of Margarito haters on here, all of which seem to be Mayweather fans. I only saw two of his fights, Santos 2 and Cintron, but he looked good in both, he just needs to get more active.

Antonio Margarito isnt the most skilled fighter out there. Some say he is a bigger version of Castillo and ill even admit that Castillo is better pound 4 pound technically. But the fact is. He is tough, big, and strong. He is young and hungry He comes to fight. He throws punches from different angles. He throws effective He keeps both his hands up He can pop. He has great stamina, and high work rate. And though he isnt up there technically with the best, he is decent. He is a tougher fight for floyd than anyone he's faced in the last 2 - 2.5 years. And he pays better too (About 7 million... compared to less than 4 for Sharmba). He was ducked like the plague by Spinks, you know... the guy that Judah beat to be "undisputed". Lets be honest here if it was as "easy" as some of you guys are saying to beat this guy it would have been done already and the fight would be signed and waiting. That whole there is no money in it is crap there is more than enough Money on the table to fight him. Especially for Foyd.... and if it was as easy as some are saying then even more so the reason to fight him. Also wether the belt comes from the WBO, IBF, WBA, or WBC doesnt make a champion. Marco Antonio Barrera and other great fighters have proven that.

yeah I saw them both. And feel like Mosley is geting more comfortable with being at 147 i c ur point but, margarito is way more agressive than other fighters mosely has fought. also margarito doesn't have a weak chin, it's pretty dam sturdy. hes a rough fighter, and i could c it being like a forrest mosely II

Funny to say the least. considering he aint promoted by DKP, im not surprsied he doesn't get publicity. hes a solid fighter. and well his last couple of fights have been better than judahs defence against a guy who was like 28-7 or sumin. but i hear where u coming from

hmm Castillo would murder Margarito on the inside. Margarito needs room for his wide punches and Castillo will not give that to him. It would be a war but Castillo gets the better of him with his shorter punches plus he is an overall better fighter than Margarito. Hatton would just simply outwork Margarito. He's quicker and throws combinations all the time. You're just wrong, no offense. If they ever fight, which I doubt, you will be proven to be totally and unquestionably incorrect. Margarito is just too strong for the both of them and I don't need to write an essay to explain this. Hatton, Castillo, and Margarito are all skilled brawlers with little regard for defense. If there is a SIGNIFICANTLY bigger guy in these matchups, that guy will win. Castillo is my fave fighter outside of Jones and DLH and there's no way in hell he'd beat Margarito. Period. There's a reason Castillo kills himself to make 135.
