Is it just me, or do Toney's wins definetly overshadow his losses, whereas other fighters (Roy Jones, Hopkins to name a few) get more slack because of there losses.
I think people seem to forget that James Toney lost to Griffin twice, and of course Roy Jones.
Thoughts?

also he lost to draze thadzi or sumin.
he doesn't have that many amazing wins
No, really you called Toney fans out for making excuses (which I dont know why you'd post that) but you're the same person believing all the Wlad conspiracy theories.
This deserves a spot in my sig. LOL. I REALLY AM LAUGHING OUT LOUD.
get off my nuts wigger....
James Toney is one of the greatest fighters of this era. But I also do believe he gets a pass in his loss column compared to Roy Jones or Bernard Hopkins. Roy Jones, aside from his controversial DQ loss from Griffin, never was close to losing a match until he drained 25 pounds of muscle and messed up his body. Bernard Hopkins, aside from losing his first fight and losing to Roy Jones Jr, never lost a match until he was beaten in a controversial decision by Taylor. Whereas, Toney was schooled by Michael Nunn for majority of the fight until he got in a good shot to win that fight. He was embarassed by Roy Jones Jr in a lopsided 12 round fight. Lost twice to Montell Griffin. Lost to Drake Thadzi and was found positive for the use of steroids against John Ruiz. If Roy Jones Jr or Bernard Hopkins would have the same lost resume as James Toney, they would be considered bums and unworthy of Hall of Fame.
why do people make excuses for toney all the time....
LOL,
Like Vasiline on the legs, poisoned watter bottles...
Do you ever stop to think before you post?
think of the fighters he beat:
john the bum ruiz
evander holyfield
vassiliy jirov
mike mccallum
iran barkley
and soon hasim the bum rahman
think of the fighters he lost to:
roy jones (understandable)
montell griffin?
drake thadzi?
griffin and thadzi are bums but losing to jones is nothin to be ashamed of... sort of.
yes, his wins overshadow his losses.
hmm
Principe..your post is confusing. You say Toney gets slack and Jones.Hops get slack? So they both get slack or were you trying to say something else?
Toney lost to Griffin mainly due to a style matchup, just like vs Roy. Also, see the Nunn fight. Toney has muchos problemos with guys that have good handspeed and slickness.
Toney was a disgrace in the shape he was in, and had lost all his drive.
Even still, those losses were very competitve.
The Jones fight is the only one he really got shown up in, and that's forgivable considering a prime RJJ is no shame to lose to.
