Personally I think that Ricky fights very simmilar to the style of Mickey. He looks a lot like Mickey. He has a lot of heart like Mickey.
He obviously is a little better than Mickey was, but that is beside the point.
I think that Hatton vs Mayweather could turn into the new Gatti vs Ward. What do you think about it?

Ward is not on the same level as Hatton. That is like comparing penny hardaway to Michael Jordan. Hatton is not the "next Ward" he is the first Hatton.
Shut the fuck up.
They are both have huge problems with cuts.
They both were in the same weight class.
They have the same style of fighting, which is generally geered towards a huge body attack. They always press forward. They know how to brawl. They have problems with a good jab. They both train very very hard, show up in great conditon and never quit.
Do you want me to go on?
Them being white wouldn't even be in my top 100.
Ouch you yelled at me...boy what do I say here?
Lets see here...
They both train hard...good one
They both show up in great condition...man your making me look bad your right again.
They never quit...fuck in A I forgot about that-another point for you.
You might as well say they both fuck women while your at it?
The fact of the matter is that 1 fighter is an elite level guy who does special things in the ring to be considered as such, the other (Ward) was never more then a B level fighter, convince yourself this means nothing and you are making a mistake
I could go to an Indian Reservation and find a guy who ikes to brawl, puts pressure on his opponents and cuts but Im not going to compare hiom to Ricky Hatton...
Well unless he is white which is what you have done.
Hey remember to be nice, I hate it when people swear at me.
I think they are very different.
Yes, they are both tough and attack the body etc, but the way they move, throw shots, the way they apply pressure are all quite different IMO.
JoeBoxer is right, their are many similarities, skin tone being just one of them, that being said Hatton is ten times better than Mickey Ward ever was.
Obviously. I am not even trying to argue with that at all.

Pathetic analogy.
As some have already pointed out they share that same WARRIOR spirit but I would bet that if they were not both white then this thread probably would not exist.
Skin color is not enough for me to conclude that two fighters are similiar.

I understand the point, they are alike in a sense but Hatton's a much improved version of Ward.
I dont think Hatton vs Mayweather will be another Gatti vs Ward because they have far better defence but its still a good styles match, I think Hatton vs Cotto could be a good tear up like Gatti vs Ward was.

the style of the mayweather hatton fight would be incredibly different than that of the gatti ward fights

The essence of Gatti/Ward is two proven warriors who fight through blood, pain, and exhaustion in their effort to win.
PBF just doesn't fit; no offense to him, but he's just so insanely good he's never had to really demonstrate epic heart and grit like Gatti and Ward.
I think fights which would be more similar to Gatti/Ward would be Hatton/Cotto, Hatton/Corrales, and Hatton/Castillo.
:boxing:
A ward mayweather triology would be great at 140. I think that a fight will probably happen between the two but at 147, which will probably fuck everything up because Hatton will have a big advantage.
I see what you are saying about Ward and Hatton. That would be wonderful if Hatton and Mayweather's styles matched up well and they ended up fighting a trilogy. :)
