Record: 76-4 (according to Ricky himself, but I count five losses?)
MAYWEATHER lost to Arnulfo BRAVO in the semis of the United States Jnr Championships as well as losses to Juan Martín CASTILLO GARCÍA in a dual against Mexico, Carlos NAVARRO in an eliminator for the Pan American Games, Juan Carlos RAMÍREZ in a dual against Mexico, Nouredine MEDJIHOUD, Trigran OUZLIAN, Augie SANCHEZ and Serafim TODOROV.
MAYWEATHER has an amateur record listed as 84 wins, 6 losses. That is a lie. Amateur record of MAYWEATHER is actually 64 wins, 8 losses.
JUYJUY, u just cant get a handle on the fact that nothing in the ammatures matters in the pros, huh?
the pros is where its at, what happens in the pros is what matters, and thats a fact that sooner or later your gonna have to realize.
for everyone's sake, i hope its sooner.
Or the Tszyu that beat Forrest against the Khan that beat Kindelan!
Or the Hatton that was robbed at the Junior World's against the Khan that beat Kindelan!
Tszyu would be too experienced against Khan. It would look like the Olympic final, only worse.
I have'nt even read any of the replies in this thread, but all I got to say is stop trying to claim that hatton has any chance against FLOYD. Floyd will dismantle the "hitman" on his worst day. He will truly expose this raw kid as a would have been. Floyd is at the top of his game and should not even be mentioned in the same breath as hatton. Floyd should fight the big names in the division: Mosley, DLH, Vargas, Winky, even Trinidad....he will dominate all of them, true skills = THE TRUTH, PRETTY BOY FLOYD MAYWEATHER!
You have a lot to learn about boxing. Floyd is a joke.
Did you know that he demanded 75% purse if He were to fight Zab, when Zab is the undisputed champ and neither is a draw.
Pull your head out of you ass, son.

if they are age restrictions then there are, i find it strange that you can compete at 16 vs men but still be considered a junior til 19
Its if their ability exceeds their age, some people are early starters.............puting a 17 year old Khan in with your average amateur teenagers who have been a mismatch, it was better for him to fight at seniors.
It makes sense, Khan was fight senior really young........

didnt Eubank fight in spain once as an amateur ?
Nah, he won the 1984 Spanish Golden Gloves (sactioned by the AAU and sponsored by Spanish newspapers in New York City).
Eubank lost his first five amateur fights (first stage of US Jr. Olympics in 82, three fights in Bronx junior league, first stage of Empire State Games qualifying in 83) because apparently he was being learned the peek-a-boo style which didn't suit his body structure, when he started learning to fight at range though under a new trainer at Gleason's was when he started to excel by winning Empire State Games qualifiers in 84 and then getting a Silver medal at the Games, then he got to the semi-final of the New York Golden Gloves before pulling out injured (against the guy he'd beaten in the semi-final of the Empire State Games). Eubank was chosen to represent NY at the National Golden Gloves in 1984 in St Louis, he got to the semi-finals. Then, Eubank beat Dennis Milton in the final of the Spanish Golden Gloves (Milton had won the 1983 US Nationals). Eubank stopped boxing in 1984 and didn't take it seriously again until the Anthony Logan fight in the pro's.
And yes, Christopher Livingstone Eubanks WAS at the 1982 US Jr. Olympics (and was stopped inside 30 seconds in his first ever amateur fight) :)

JUYJUY...
amateur boxing don't mean SHIT!
It just means who can throw more pussy pitty pat punches like a little girl, u fight for 4 x fucking 2 minute round...wtf 2 minute rounds? That don't prove shit you retarded hobo...
Amateur competition might be stiffer at Russia or Cuba..
but it's amateurs..
All the fuckin Russians are to pussy to fight in America, let me give some examples..
Wladiqueer Quitschko - came and got KOd by a golfer, he only won fight when he fought cupcakes in Germany..
Bitchali Clitschko - pussied out of fighting Rahman, but he's still calling out Maskaev(another russian bum) and Lewis(who's probably playing with his grandsons now LOL!)
Kid Diamond- Got his ASS handed to him by Nate Campbell..
Nicolay Valuev- 7 feet tall and got WHOOPED by Donald, but those biased german judges gave it to him..
Tszyu - got exposed by Ricky Hatton
And yes, Christopher Livingstone Eubanks WAS at the 1982 US Jr. Olympics (and was stopped inside 30 seconds in what was his first ever amateur fight) :)
Tyson's first senior fight was when he'd just turned 16, it was the ABF regions that he needed to win to get to the National Golden Gloves. He won the Junior Olympics two years in a row with straight knockouts both times, it was too easy for him against kids his own age.
so what age are they considered senior in the us
In amateur boxing, your a junior if your under 19 but you can fight as a senior when your 16 (Floyd Mayweather winning the National Golden Gloves at 16 is just sick!).
