I guess Hatton isn't a bigger draw as people think he is.
Maybe, Manchester Arena is the only place where can sell out.
The total tickets sold at the moment for sat night is just over 6ooo,the arena holds just under 14000. The curtains are gonna be down, making the arena's capacity drop so it looks fuller. If the Hallam arena is heading for sell out status, they have to request 2000 seats be brought in to take it from 12 to 14000 capacity. This according to arena officials has never been asked for so the promoters always knew it wouldnt sell out. Also, the phone lines in sheffield/rotherham and chesterfield have started ringing offering free tickets to fill the crowd out.
We all know where Senor Anorak will be during the fight: He will have compacted himself into Danny's XXL trunks and will be engaged upon oral stimulation of Danny's bratwurst.
Oh, the Battle Bus? :)
What if I just got in the ring and sucked his cock?
No, we don't want to see that. But if you could make out with the ring girl while holding the "battle bus", that would be impressive!
Are you being ironic? :D If I held a sign up someone'd probably take me out with a bullet.
I'm not at the moment, though it may change...
I'm not trying to be ironic, but it would be ironic if some of us boxingscene members spotted a sign with something we could identify you with. You could hold up sign with the "danny williams bandwagon" picture you made, and we'd all now it was you. :p
Aud-laaaaaaaaaay, Aud-lay, Aud-lay, Aud-lay, Audlay, Audlaaaaaaaaaay.
Do you think he'll take my boy down on the 10th, SD?
Anorak, are you going to this fight? If so, you should hold a sign up that says your name, so everyone on the NSB forum could see boxingscene's most popular poster.
cuz the opponent is maussa, if hatton wanted to adjust to the american boxing environment, this would be smart to have this fight in america. ppl could c him up close n personal, and he would have an ez fight
Hatton is a bigger draw than floyd. In fact Floyd isnt much of a draw at all.
His following might have increased since, but remember when he fought Corley the Arena was empty. It reflected a few prior fights where he stunk out the joint. A shame because that fight was actually good. :D
And when he fought Castillo for the championship the first time, there was way more Castillo fans than floyd fans in the arena. And Castillo was relatively unknown in the American Media.
Cheers matey.
He's just a bit of an ass whippet, that's all. It's like the look on Joe Frazier's face when his son is about to fight Larry Holmes... you can see Joe really wants to get in there and do the job himself. Instead he sends the boy out and he gets knocked shitless. He's okay, but he just hasn't got "It".
It's a bit like Big Klit being feted for his solid chin I guess. Then they go "how's little Klit" and he's like "Shut up, I am vurld champion, stop taking the piss."
Wtf am I talking about?
Anyway, don't worry Tankie, I'll upload it for ya.
He doesn't sound too exciting to watch then. I can't get the PPV on my TV service  so I can't watch him live but I'll have a look if someone uploads it.
It's a regular occurance in all sports but I still always feel a bit sorry for the poor relation too.
I've seen him a couple of times, Frankie my Tankie. I see from his record his KO ratio is less than 50% and he's lost one on points, drew another and was TKOed in two by a David Keir.
I feel sorry for the poor little bastard. The commentators were saying how mediocre he is (He's not BAD, just a standard average boxer that may get to European level but no higher) and big brother Ricky was being diplomatic about his performance.
From what I remember it's the kind of Hatton crouch style, but a bit traditionally based, ie. using the jab, in and out footwork rather than just pressing forward, etc.
The guy can box to a reasonable standard, but when your brother's champion of the world it casts an unnecessary spotlight on you, doesn't it?
For the Americans interested in watching this, its avaliable for 20 bucks starting at 4 pm on Saturday on in demand PPV. That fight, hatton's brother's fight and carl thompson will be shown
Thompson's always worth watching. Never seen Hatton's brother fight though.

£100 to £475 per ticket thats whats holding it back.
Sheffield is a Northern England steel town there are not many rappers or movie stars hanging around!!!
How come all the British fighters are overated, I remember the same being said about Lewis, Benn, Eubank, Hamed and loads more.
Yeah, but that was the undercard to Gatti-Mayweather, wasn't it?
Apparently Frank, Iron One and Evil have been hanging outside the box office offering their ass for £20 a pop, that's what's taken the edge off the ticket sales. This was in the local newspaper, and is a FACT.
Some punk in an anorak was giving it away for free though so we didn't make a penny.
