Floyd Mayweather Jr: Judah has one week to sign for fight!
By G. Leon
"I should have stopped him last time when his daddy pulled me off of him!"
November 21, 2005 - Yesterday afternoon undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr told Boxingtalk.com, "These guys are trying to talk about the money, but Zab knows. How can you talk about getting 50-50 with a millionaire when you're a thousandaire? How can a thousandaire talk millions with a millionaire? Deals like this are negotiated between top dogs, Bob Arum, Don King, Floyd Mayweather Jr and HBO. Zab has no say so. Zab is the undisputed undercard champion."
I think it should be 50/50, since Zab is risking more and Mayweather is the bigger name. Against any other fighters, Zab or FLoyd would get the majority, but against each other, it has to balance out, since both have good reasons to get more than the other.
Floyd should get mo money than Judah. Anyways, is Judah is even concerned bout money? He took 100,000 to beat ta shyt outa Spinks. I doubt Judah avoids Floyd fo a couple of millions. Also Judah is confident he'll beat Floyd.
At least Zab was fighting...
and his second last fight was a MAIN EVENT...
floyd has been fighting as well, and better opponents than judah, people are just on his ass about it
He says if he don't take 60/40 that he won't fight him..
What exactly has floyd down to accept that?
and
He knows Zab won't take that...
So, basically he knows the fight ain't going to happen..
He's DUCKING him...
Zab is the bigger draw...
and undisputed champion...
If Floyd don't fight him, I will just laugh, because in the end his career will have gone in the GARBAGE! HAHAHA!
dude zab isnt the bigger draw, floyd is p4p champ
and techniclly, zab isnt undisputed champ
and hes fighting baldomir next...
hmmmmmmmm
Its funny how everyone look sat it from a fans perspective which is fine we all wanna see great fights,,but if im floyd or zab i look at it as my business im the product i aint gotta settle for less than i think im worth,,even if any fighter makes an outrageous demand like 90-10 ,,if thats what he feels his worth is then so be it who am i to tell any fighter just take what they give u an fight,,,fuck that,,,and the fans remain just that fans,,,cuz no matter what the split is were gonna watch it when it goes down,,,zab has been over rated since his career began,,,zab loses,,,its also funny how fans hype shyt that aint there,,,if u study boxing,,,anything outside of a miracle,,zab will lose,,,and why does everybody say zab can punch,,,alot of fighters floyd has fought have had the knockout punch more so than floyd an floyd stretches them,,,now zab is fast,,but his defense is lackluster,,,he was much faster than tzou too an got stretched,,cuz his defense is whack,,,i hope the fight goes down but i also know they gotta do what they gotta do for themselves....
Undisputed 147lb. champ or not Zab defends his title on undercards.
It's already been said that if he fights Floyd it will be on PPV.
So let's see. If Zab's last couple of fights were on PPV undercards and
Why in the world should he get 50/50?
At least Zab was fighting...
and his second last fight was a MAIN EVENT...
floyd is asking judah to fight, how is he ducking him?

If mayweather doesnt fight either judah, hatton or Margarito then I think mayweather should get kicked out of the #1 P4P spot when was the last time he was the underdog in a fight he's allways talking about fighting the best but he never those!!!!!!
Right on...my thoughts exactly.
Merchant called him out on that shit and he was all "I don't want to talk abotu money and all that right now"...
Floyds bullshittin and he knows it.
True dat...i asked him on a boxingtalk chat what he thought would be a reasonable purse split for a fight with him and zab to take place.....he said he wasnt gonna discuss it
hey floyd wuz good?my question is...what do you consider a reasonable purse split so a fight with you and zab will take place?also can u hook it up with an autographed glove or something?
6:06 PM I'im not going to discuss specifics of any of my negotiations, but it ain't going to be nowhere near 50-50. I am the draw, Zab is a thousandaire, I'm a millionaire. I made more money in my last fight then he's made in his entire career
6:07 PM We don't have to fight for the belt, we could just fight to see who the best is.
6:07 PM He thinks he's the best, I know I'm the best
Yes that is true but DLH is the single biggest draw in all of boxing. Women love him and men think he's a badass fighter and purists like him because he has skills to pay the bills. Floyd on the otherhand...you'd have to triple his marketability to even sniff Oscar's. Plus, B-Hop was very confident of a win. I believe Floyd has doubts that he can beat Judah and vice versa.
i think floyd won't be taking Judah lightly, this is one of the few guys who could beat him. even if he has to take less money, i think zab will take the fight, it's a win - win situation for him, he's got a good chance of beating pbf and if he loses he can say - hey' it's pbf i lost to, not some bum. Judah knows winning this fight would set up his legacy - undisputed champ and the man beat pbf the first time
In the ring he is a badass. Nowhere else obviously. He has a two-part personality that gets him lots of bread. Women like him and find him attractive, and boxing fans like him due to skills and because he turns into a badass in the ring. See fights vs Quartey, Mosley I, Vargas, Chavez, Gatti, etc. The guy does get badass in the ring.
Oh ok, gotcha... :D
hmm

Say what?
Oscar a badass? LOL!

Mayweather's the bigger name, the much bigger name, and P4P #1. Regarless of belts. Belts that ZJ got from Corey Spinks on the second attempt for f**K sake.
Thats true aswell...maybe it should be even then.
Zab took $100,000 to fight Corey Spinks he should have no problem takin short money for the chance to beat the #1 pound for pounf fighter in the sport.
That was to avenge a loss, and to be undisputed! He did that so he wouldnt have to take the short end of the stick. I say 50/50. One is P4P best in most peoples eyes, and the other is undisputed. Each has something the other wants as Zab has never even been top 3 P4P, and PBF has never been unified champ. Plus the damn fight makes too much sense! Just do 50/50, and do the damn thing.
