James Toney's resume is fuckin magnificent to say ta least. Guy hasn't lost since 1997.
I truly believe Toney is ta best heavyweight out thurr and he'll beat errrbody at heavyweight. DONT MATTA WHO IT IS!
He'd make Wlad Klitszcho look silly and one dimensional.
He'd make Brewster look confuse.
He'd make Rahman look like a sparring partner.
He'd make Chris Byrd look like an idiot struggling on a GED question!
Basically tis is ta truth!!!!!! James Toney is superman. Tis guy can't be hurt, got ta deepest techincal defense out thurrr, and ta best arsenals. MAN JAMES TONEY'S TIME IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
POST HURRR IF YOU BELIEVE!!!
HAIL JAMES TONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's very unlikely that an overweight 5'9'' counterpuncher in Toney can beat a 6'3'' 240 pounder in Rahman, a 6'6'' Wladimir Klitschko, or a 6'8'' Vitali Klitschko.
Not only is there a substantial height difference, but there is a definte difference in reach and power.
Rahman SUCKS.
He lost to John Ruiz, and old Holyfield.
As this fight is happening next, how's about we make a bet?
As for the Klitschkos, Wlad doesn't have a title right now, and is capeable of being KO'd by almost anyone he fights. He's not a potential opponent until he's wearing a strap.
Vitali is retired, and can't make it through a training camp without injuring himself. He's finished.
Toney is fighting Rahman next, and after that, he only needs the IBF and WBO titles.
This is not that unlikely.
I didn't talk about him like he's the saviour at any point.
But suggesting it's not possible he beats Rahman is silly.
That is now set as his next fight.
Wlad Klitschko could be KO'd at any point in time, and Brewster admittedly doesn't want to fight Toney unless he's forced into it.
Toney will beat Rahman, and after that he's got two more titles to go after that Byrd and Brewster currently hold.
It's not a certianty, but it's not as unlikely as you're making it out to be.

Your argument on how Wlad can be KO'd at any time is WEAK. He just fought arguably the hardest hitter in the division and climbed off the canvas to secure a hard-fought but unanimous decision.
You're assumption that Toney (who is a former middleweight) can knock out Wlad is just absurd considering Toney is not known for his punching at HW.
The "big boys" I'm talking about are Rahman, Klitschko bro's (assuming Vitali comes out of retirement, and Brewster).
Please don't talk about Toney like he is a savour of the HW division. This talk is much too premature at this point.
He has two good solid wins over Ruiz and Guinn, but if he fights someone who has a substantial height difference over him he will lose indefinetly.

I don't. He can become a paper champ but once he fights the big boys He's as good as done.
What "Big Boys" are you talking about?
He's fighting Rahman in the new year, and then only needs to beat Byrd and Brewster.
That's not that unlikely that he can pull it off...
I hear you, but I think Toney has a chance to become champion in the next year or two.

Even if Toney is to fight all of the title holders in a row, who said it can be arranged? There are too many factors, e.g. other Title Holders' schedule, mandatory defenses, promotional B.S. etc..
What are the chances that Toney will get a title shot and then 3 title unification shots in the next few years? It simply won't happen.
If that tournament comes off, there's a very good chance it could happen.
It's funny how much this upsets you.
Maybe Toney could fight one fringe contender a year, and then retire. That would seem the best thing he could do to endear you to him...

I'm not saying Toney sucks! He is extremely talented and the fact that with his small size, he can dominate most in the division, really compliments his skills.
My point was to answer the title of this thread: "James Toney will Save Heavyweight Division!" He is pretty far on all the rankings and given his age and how fast he gains weight, really does not work well for him.
He will retire long before he gets a chance to "Save the division"
While guys like Peter, Klitschko who have the shot. Yet; Peter is lacking skill, Klitschko lacks confidence)

THERE ISN'T A DECENT HEAVYWEIGHT OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!! Back to my point, no one faught nobody. Thats how boxing fans think.

he's already 37 years old, 5'9, about to explode and he is yet to fight a decent heavyweight.
I say you are right! He will SAVE the division

you look like a fat bird that's takin a shyt, but struggling to let it out.
yo mannyp, is that u and im so flyy in that pic shonuff listed caie I tihnk it is....
I think you just lost every ounce of credibility you might have had on this site with this post. You revealed how new to boxing you are and how stupid you are to call Toney a bum. You didn't think Toney looked amazing against Guinn? What is looking good? Wladimir Klitschko getting dropped 3 times by a guy with no stamina? Fuck you, newbie. You have no respect here anymore (if you even had any before, I don't even know who the fuck you are) so find another forum.
ooo damn u really scare a lot of people bro, 2 of those knockdowns were bullshitt, and peter got his ass handed to him, klitschko dominated peter, watch the fight again....
Toney going to heavy weight is not a good idea for him. Just cause you eat lots of cheeseburger and gain weight dont make you a true heavy weight. Lets face it toney is not the same boxer after the jirov war. How can he fight well known boxers and become succesful, when he strugled against a old beat up wolf man ruiz.I really will like to see toney fight samuel peterson, and get knocked out back to burger king. That will be the only King for toney.
whos samuel peterson????
