Come on please! Tarver in heavy weight. Lets put our heads on first. Tarver beat a chicken picked boxer, and now wants to fight in hw. I think he should stay there if any move in weight he should go down. I personally dont think tarver has a hw chin to compete with those guys. Unless he fought nobody in that divison, then just maybe. I would like to see tarver fight jirov, that will be fun for tarver. Then maybe he would change his mind about fight with the big boys

imo, he could possibly beat ruiz and byrd. maybe even rahman, but that's a bit of a long shot. tarver has skills, but how would he work his way up to a mandatory challenger position? i suppose he could use the james toney route and fight safe opponents, and get there basically because of work rate.

hmm People continue to underestimate Ruiz. Ruiz is the most accomplished champ out there right now. He sucks to watch, but his crappy style would trump Tarver's any day of the week. You have to have great power or great boxing skills to beat Ruiz (Tua, Jones, Toney). Tarver has neither at heavyweight. He'd be outweighed a lot by Ruiz, who even though is past his prime, would be able to clinch and maul and lean on Tarver enough to possibly stop him late. Tarver has slow feet and average handspeed. Ruiz wins.

hmm Jirov is a lot tougher than Tarver, and beat him in the olypmics. Tarver woulda got KO'd by Mesi. Jirov did not. Tarver would lose to a lot of heavies. He will not be successful at heavyweight. His only shot is to fight guys like Byrd and Toney.
