"Global Warfare" begins a month early at NYC presser...
It was supposed to be your typical boxing press conference, an opportunity for the media to meet with the participants of Warrior’s Boxing Promotions’ December 15th card at the Hard Rock Live Arena, and discuss the highly anticipated “Global Warfare” show. But once heavyweights Sultan Ibragimov and Lance ‘Mount’ Whitaker got close to each other at Gallagher’s Steak House in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday, the tension was obvious. And when Ibragimov put his clenched fist to the chin of Whitaker for the third time, the 6-8 contender had enough and the two started swinging at each other a month before they’re scheduled to do it in the ring. Unfortunately in the commotion, Ibragimov’s agent and matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz – who was trying to keep the two giants apart from each other – got hit by both men simultaneously and was knocked unconscious for a number of minutes. “With the stakes as high as they are, and with both men preparing for battle, sometimes these unfortunate events take place,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Warrior’s Boxing Promotions Inc. “But the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Warrior’s Boxing don’t condone the actions by either fighter, and I can assure boxing fans that this will not be tolerated. We will do whatever is necessary in the future to keep this from happening again because we’re intent on keeping the fighting where it belongs – in the ring.” The Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Warrior’s Boxing Promotions Inc. also sends its thoughts and prayers to Sampson Lewkowicz for a speedy recovery.
I thought it was funny as hell.

Sorry man, I edited my post after I saw yours.
I think I'm going to this fight.
I wish this event was happening on the west coast, I'd definatly try and go. I was at the Peters-Sykes card in Reno. Though it was a short fight and had a lackluster undercard, it was well worth it and I'd definatly recomend going to this card. Actually if you watch the tape of the fight, right after peter leaves the ring you can hear a guy say "nice fight man, hell yeah" and then you see a close up of the guy touching gloves with Sam and looking pretty drunk. That was my buddy who I attended the fights with (actually I'm in the shot too, but its a little harder to see me.
