I'm speaking about HBO, the network itself (not its PPV).
Looking at what's on tap for the rest of this year....all there is, is a mismatch between Floyd Mayweather & Sharmba Mitchell, which is supported by Andre Ward against what I assume is another no-hoper.
Maybe I'm forgetting good things that happened earlier in the year ? I don't know.
What I do know....the standouts were surprising fights in which the HBO "star" either lost (Morales vs. Raheem), or came damn near close to losing (Cotto-Torres). These weren't very intriguing matches going in....
All in all....an incredibly weak year for the self-proclaimed "Network of Champions".
i think the commentary on showtime is just fine.. neither voice from bernstein or albert annoy me. at least they don't go off making ridiculous comments like Merchant when hitting the sauce (as funny as it can be at times).
I hope not, I dont like the commentary on SHOWTIME
Yeah your right I hope Calzaghe v. Lacy doesnt come off because Al Bernstein and ALbert are dummy's...
Cmon derranged Im trying to cut down on my attitude towards stupid posters but trust me my man your not makiing it easy.
It was a real down year for HBO and the fact that Castillo v. Corrales turned out to be the fight that it did made things look even worse as well.
Showtime gave us the fight of the decade for free and HBO was charging for Fana and Peden?
Showtime needs to jump out in 2006 and sting HBO again...signing Lacy v. Calzaghe for early 2006 would be a cant miss action packed fight that would leave the fans (us) grumbling about what the fuck is wrong with HBO.
