Vitali traded heavy shots with Lewis and Sanders. Golota would have folded (in fact he did against Lewis) if put in Vitali's place in either of those fights. Golota had more skill than Vitali but he didn't have his chin or his nerves. In a fight between the two of them in their primes, Vitali mops the floor with Golota. Skill alone isn't enough in boxing. You need to have the correct mindset for it and Golota didn't. Have you forgotten that Golota LOST those fights with Riddick Bowe? Vitali showed a lack of heart against Byrd. That was it. Golota has repeatedly quit or looked for ways out once the going got tough. Golota was the better fighter, technically....but the bigger "pansy".
