I don't really care who wins, so long as we have some fights! Any fight at all is a better option than waiting for Vitali, then wait again, then wait some more, then wait again.
The guy is either too injury prone, not motivated to fight, or both. It doesn't really matter what the reason, the bottom line is that we aren't getting to see a fight.
The guy should be stripped, as per previous agreement. When he's healthy, he can challenge for the title. In the meantime, we actually get some fights, what a concept!
you people dont get it. there will be NO UNIFICATION in the HW division. we havent had a HW unification match since lewis/holyfield 2 back in '99.
after 6-7 years of no unification matches, doesnt that give you some kinda clue? like maybe "none of the 'champions' are really risk takers"?
why don't you go make a thread about it :bottle:

If Don King puts it together who will win
Defying all logic, motherfucking John Ruiz will come out on top.You know how cockroaches would survive a nuclear holocaust? John RUiz is that cockroache. :nonono:
hmm
Gringo...you are way out of the loop. Byrd is dogshit. He's past his prime. He's done. Surely you wouldn't say what you've said if you had seen his fights vs Golota, Williamson, and McCline?
Brewster will fuck Byrd up if they fight.
Why does King need all 4 titles to do his great tourny? He could just add Golota or someone and unify the three other belts. Tell me that the boxing public would not recognize the one with the three titles as the CHAMP. Then defend against a KLITCHO. This would never happen becasue it means less title fights and less money in the long run.
King wants to own 3 titles or 4. He does not want to own one guy with 4.
To be honest... I know people don't like them, but the Klitschko's are arguably the best two heavyweights in the World right now. So to have them frozen out of the tournement, kinda makes the tournement a bit of a farce.
You are totally wrong. The Klitschko's should be fucking happy about this if they really are the best. Whoever wins the tournament would definilty have to fight at least one of them in the very first defense, and maybe in the first and second defense.
Vitali is a dumb ass for not giving up his belt and then trying to grab it back next year. He would get a vacation, and when he actually one it from the "real" champion, people would give him more credit than they do now.
The only reason the Klit's arn't wanting a tournamnet is their lame ass fantasy of 2 brothers 2 titles, who will not fight each other. They are fucking skeeming to ruin the god damn division. I hate these fucks.
Toney would win it if he were included...
Of the 4 current guys however, I'd have to say either Byrd or Brewster.
Byrd would be a horrible opponent for Brewster. I couldn't see Brewster hitting Byrd enough to KO him, and I definitely can't see him outpointing him unless he drops him a couple of times.
actually, the new stand and trade Byrd would be a great opponent for Brew - much easier to hit because he's not moving around the ring like he used to. also Byrdy has a bad tendency to go to the ropes and lean back on them, i wouldn't do that against Brewster. i think Brew - Byrd would look a lot like Brew - Krasniqi, Brew by late stoppage. Remember, Brew only needs to land one shot, and if Jahmeel McCline can knock Byrdy down, i think Brew can take him out with a left hook.
As for my pick for the unified champ - it's gotta be
LAMON ' the black rocky " BREWSTER
if dk ever does put together another tournament, the winner will be whichever fighter kisses don king's ass the most.
anybody remember the tournament he put together in the 1980's? and then got exposed for completely setting the whole thing up.
I favour either Toney or Byrd. Byrd was awful vs Williamson but usually he wins so i think he has a shot. Brewster is risking being overrated at the moment. Sure, he'd do well but i'd pick Rahman, Toney and Byrd to beat him at the momment.
Rahman is too inconsistant, Brewster is too raw boxing wise and Ruiz??? Who knows. i don't like Valuev, he is too static. Whether Byrd is gonna fight like he did when younger one day remains to be seen but i think on the form book Toney is the most skilled and with a gun to my head i'd say....Toney!
it's a god thing ta KleeeschkHOES aint thurrr. we don't need paper champions who stay inactive as hell.
James Toney is ta best heavyweight right bout now wit Brewster comin in 2nd IMO!
Man, ta heavyweight is so fucked lacking talents and balls. Ruiz, Byrd, Valuev KleeshkHOE etc is equivalent to ta Barrera, Marquez of ta lower divisions. Too much ducking. LOL!
