Lacy vs. Tarver

Tarver is too crafty and a natural LEFT handed counterpuncher. Lacy takes too many shots, he would't be able to let Tarver tee off on him like Pemberton did. Watch the fight again Pemberton landed A LOT of shots.

A few days ago I did not think Lacy was quite ready for Tarver but he is just such a beast I think he could get to Tarver with his pressure although Tarver always has a chance he is a good boxer and can mix it up or just box and is good at playing possum so he could lure lacy in and land some big shots....I got to go with my boy Lacy tho..... he is poised to rule boxing in the SMW and LHW divisons for years to come IMO. :boxing:

Don't get me wrong, I think Lacy is incredible and beats anybody at 168 with relative ease. But he's not good enough to beat Tarver at this point in time.

Tarver is too smart for Lacy. Tarver by UD i don't think you give Lacy enough credit in an intellectual sense.. he's never fought a "stupid" fight by any means.. and tho he has power like Tyson, you won't see him biting any ears in a panic (as much as i love Tyson :D ) he still has things to learn tho as well. it's just a learning process. But from what i've seen, i wouldn't say Tarver is any smarter than Lacy.

lacy would apply alot of presure. taver would hang in there and lose by decision. then they would remach and taver would win. then lacy would lose the third fight. then taver retires with the respect he deserves

lacy can beat tarver, tarver is lazy, he throws one punch at a time and can be out hustled and most important, a good pressure fighter who can crack, and lacy can, can stop him. smother tarver with power punches = lacy by late stoppage tarver is simply overrated and he has not faced a puncher of lacy's power. lacy by KO. tarvers a bigger guy with skills but lacys style would reek havoc on tarver.even if tarver gets on his bicycle how long can he last against a constantly coming forward always in shape lacy? then its decided... Tarver will stand firmly behind the "Why does he deserve a chance to fight me?" speech as long as he possibly can. ;)

Delahoya had no chance. He was going to get bullied by Hopkins in the later rounds anyway. He's lucky he went down from that body shot, later on in the fight he would of gotten knocked out much worse.

hmm De La Hoya hasn't fought in ages and in his most recent fight he did lose by KO. He shouldn't be rated top 10 p4p right now, and Ring mag doesn't have him in there. If he comes back and beats Mayorga and some other noteworthy fighter like Karmazin, Wright, Ouma, Forrest, Mayweather, or Taylor, then you could have a case to say he's top 10 p4p again.

I'm a big Lacy fan but he can't crak p4p yet based on his wins. He's close, but not quite there. Mayweather and Wright are the best p4p fighters out there right now in my opinion, but Castillo is nipping on Wright's heels. Sadly, it looks like it'll be a while before we have any more p4p changing fights. ahh yes, winky great fighter, hope him and hop get it on to prove it...u know i would hate to do it, but what bout DLH in p4p he acually has moved around in weights and done really well he withstood b-hop till that good body shot, hell i had him winnen the fight till that

I'm not too sure about Tarver lately. He didn't look all that great against Jones in the rubbermatch. I think he can still beat Johnson because Johnson is slow but Lacy is going to be faster and very strong at 175. I think this is an even fight but leaning towards Lacy.

I think Lacy beats Tarver, that was my point.LOL :D oh, 4 sure i agreed with ya 2tha fullest..i kinda wish Jermaine would step up in weight and get knocked out by him..but hopefully hop will do that but even if he does Taylor has good potential..i wanna see Taylor vs Lacy.
