I mean, think of all the money they lose like this. They gotta be furious with Vitali. Sure if this leg thing is real, I wouldn't want to fight like that either, though if not, Vitali has to take a long thinker on himself, and just wtf he's doing. So now HBO has to spend extra $$$ to repromote it(haha repromote, is that a real word?), for the next reschedule.
Its funny how there are no Klit fans on tonight. Go figure
How about Byrd vs Rahman?? Byrd said in his last fight he wanted a fight in December. And since Byrd never took a punch in his last fight he should be ready to go.
After further review....
Ironfist (jeez, what a bad nickname) is 34 years old, and took quite a beating off Lewis. In the last round of that fight, he was getting hit with bombs and would have been KO'd if he came out for one more round. I don't think he will ever be what he was before that fight. That was his Taylor-JCC moment in the sun. I don't want to hear how well Vitali did in that fight - take a look at him after the fight was stopped. Exhausted and beaten to a pulp. His face looked like dog food and Lewis went out to party.
Vitali is damaged goods. Something needs to be done. A reluctant belt holder is just bad for the sport no matter how you look at it. He needs to fight on schedule or get out of the way. Where's a commission when you need one :(
Or Ruiz for his ways, but Ruiz fights people. I have a new found respect for Ruiz.
I think the boxing public wants to hate Ruiz for his sluggish style, but people are starting to respect the guy for fighting anybody for whatever money.
I know. Deja vu.
Like I said, he doesn't need the money, and being injured is no fun and he would rather not risk his career and fight with an injury. The irony of this injury is that some people joked around that he was going to get injured and postpone the fight because he is scared of Rahman, and it fucking happens. Unbelievable.
But the thing is, Vitali fans know it was him who probably insisted that he get his knee checked. And it was him probably lobbying for medical clearance to get out of this. I mean this dude quit on his stool against Byrd. No heart at all.

When are they gonna do it though? November 26th? Not with Hopkins-Taylor 2 the next week. December 10th? They are already doing Winky-Soliman then. December 17th or 24th? Do they really want to do two PPVS within two or three weeks of each other?
Its a fucked up situation.

The world heavyweight championship fight featuring Vitali Klitschko vs. Hasim Rahman on November 12 is postponed and will be rescheduled, Bob Arum of Top Rank announced today. Klitschko, the WBC heavyweight champion, was injured while sparring in Los Angeles on Thursday. He wrenched his right knee and did not continue training. On Saturday, Klitschko was examined by famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tony Daly of Los Angeles. He diagnosed the injury as a sprain and suggested the use of a rigid brace on the right knee. However, while sparring in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, Klitschko reported the knee did not respond to either medical treatment or the use of the brace. Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank and Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions, announced that Klitschko vs. Rahman will be rescheduled. A new date, Arum said, will be announced next week
 Bullshit is what I say.

Thats true. However, I don't think the WBC is going to do anything. There is just too much money involved in the Vitali vs Rahman fight. Its going to happen eventually. No one knows who Gomez is, so I don't know who would sign up to promote that fight.
The WBC is losing mony and the whole promotion will lose money if there is no fight. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days.
Well in the WBC eyes Gomez has earned his right and so has Rahman and Vitali keeps getting hurt, so something has to be done.

Sounds good. I don't know if Rahman would want to take a risk with Gomez. Anything can happen, and he has a 4.6 million dollar pay day if he fights Vitali, and he needs that money desperately because he is in debt for about 2.5 million already. So my guess is Rahman will wait it out. The WBC is usually fair. If Rahman was really a man he would take on a big money fight against Brewster instead. Gomez is a very small heavyweight (former cruiserweight champ however), so I don't think Rahman vs Gomez would be any different than Rahman vs Barrett. Boring fight.

The winner of the Maskaev/Sam fight is supposed to fight JC Gomez and the winner of that fight is supposed to fight the champ. But this injury stuff is getting old already and the WBC should go ahead and strip Vitali and let Rahman and Gomez fight, when Vitali is healthy enough to fight, he should fight the winner of the Maskaev/Sam fight and the winner of that fight should fight the champ. How bout that?

Well I'd say Maskaev vs Sam should be, and is for the WBC international title and WBC Heavyweight Title Eliminator for the #1 Spot, the fight. Rahman vs the winner if Vitali is not healthy enough.

Like it or not but that fight between McCall and Gomez was an WBC eliminator, just make the fight and get it over with because V.Klit is not healthy enough to fight and it's starting to get old already.
