Mayorga may have gone 8 rounds with Trinidad who is a killer, but if he fights a determined DeLaHoya, which I predict will happen, mainly because of all of Mayorgas trash talk will probably get to DLH and motivate him IMO. DLH can land punches in bunches and if he does that could stop Mayorga late.

Like I said, 1 billion points, 500 million bets are availible to me, put your points where your mouth is, you all talk about DLH like he's some kind of god, bet me :D Basically, DLH has to win on the cards if he wants to win, he won't knock out Mayorga, THE END. If it took tito 8 rounds to do it, Oscar can't, period. Mayorga will come prepared and polished, and will destroy DLH in front of alot of non-believers, you just wait. Mayorga is one of the least-talented fighters I've ever seen. He sucks. All he does is throw bombs. He can take a hell of a punch, yeah, but he can't box for shit. All DLH has to do is stay away from huge punches, which he is completely capable of. Also, I'm sure he can find it in him to land a solid shot or two to Mayorga's liver, like Tito did to KO him.

I think he is just trying to win a fight. And he knows Mayorga is a good name to beat. On top of that its a marketable fight because it plays good guy vs. bad guy. Truth is ..... Mayorga catches Oscar with good stuff, whether Oscar trys to box (and run away in later rounds) or if Oscar goes toe-to-toe. Let's just hope that Oscar is actually concerned about his "legacy" (as he says he is) so that he chooses to give us something like a war or a boxing lesson to talk about. My expectation is that Oscar cannot run away. Plus he can't take out Mayorga. So, it's up to Mayorga, really.

Please... Oscar will outbox him and I wouldnt be surprised if Mayorga hurts Oscar. This will not even be a match. Biggest mismatch of the year. DLH just wants more money. And I can't blame him... If I were in a position to dominate someone like this, and make some serious bank, I'd do it. Slavik, you're on. This isn't a competition. Oscar is going to make Mayorga cry.

De La Hoya will not knock Mayorga out. Are you guys crazy? Vernon Forrest hit him flush at 147 and it did NOTHING. Remember Forrest? The guy that knocked Mosley's fucking head off? The same Mosley that De La Hoya never even STUNNED. Fuck a TKO. Forrest hit Mosley ONCE and knocked Mosley down, and was never able to do it again if memory serves. Mayorga is alot slower than Mosley, Oscar will be able to hit him with alot more flush shots. Not saying he'll ko Mayo, but he'll probably fuck him up good.

I posted a thread days ago about this fight, and notice all the new people immediately jumped onto DLH's side, because half them never seen Mayorga fight probably. ive seen mayorga in his fights with forrest 1, spinks, and tito. ive seen oscar against tito, vargas, and hopkins. mayorga has more power and is more entertaining, but he'll need more than that to get past oscar.

Hopefully Foreman commentates so I can here him talk about De La Hoya's shoulders. No shit, I think he's infatuated with'em lol

whatever happened to dlh/tszyu proposition rumor going around? is this meant to be some kind of tune up for an eventual showdown. on the subject at hand, dlh has far better boxing skills and mayorga is one tough crazy sob. i'd like to catch this one.
