I was just watching Wladimir Klitschko versus Sam Peter and I seen a lot of improvement in Klitschko and a lot of desire and dedication to become the best again, so I ask this question, can Wladimir become champ again and someone that can also hold a few titles and dominate for awhile? Me personally I think that Klitschko can do it, he needs to gain more confidence in himself and I think he will be able to dominate the division along with his brother for years to come, he needs to take on Lamon Brewster and beat him then he will be called the real deal, let me know what you think about this????
....Of course he can. He has his confidence back now and the fact that he is not satisfied with his performance against Peter just shows that he is on his way back to the top. He and Many will only get better together. He does need to develop a mean streak though. If Peter would have tried that rabbit punching shit with Vitali he would have been severely roughed up. Wlad needs to get angry in the ring in a situation like that.
Why did you give me bad K, you bastard.
and bitchko fromunda cheese because they all be swinging from thier sweaty gorilla nuts.
you sound like a gay redneck, I did not understand a word u said there...
Vitalis better than Wlad, come on now.
vit takes a better punch. thats the only thing he does better that wlad. wlad would have been a very dangerous fight for lewis. lewis got his name off beating shot fighters holyfield and tyson. he never faced anyone with near the talent and punching power of wlad and hes been stopped by rahman and mcall who dont punch nearly as well
wlad was WBO champion from 10/14/2000 until 3/8/2003, a solid two and a half years, he made 5 successful defenses of the title, do your homework before you post. :boxing:
You misunderstood his post. He was acknowedging that Wlad was A champ, but not THE champ. Wlad was a TITLIST, while Lennox/Rahman was the CHAMP during that time.
He's fighting a Don King fighter next (Byrd or Brewster) and that will open the door to a unification if Wlad wins (assuming King doesn't let it go to purse bid). So that fight is THE fight... if Wlad wins it, then he could possibly be able to work with King and unify all the belts besides the WBC (assuming Vitali wins on Nov12th).
So yes, his next fight could potentially be a first step towards unification if he can beat Brewster (we all know that'll be the fight- Byrd will not fight Wlad), then I'd have to favor him over the winner of Byrd/Toney (Toney) and Ruiz/Valuev (Valuev by unanimous Don King decision) and possibly Rahman, if he upsets Vitali somehow.
It's definitely doable, but he's got to keep that stamina up and keep that defense solid. If he does that, there's no top HW who can beat him right now. "Undisputed Champ" or "the unifier of 3 of the 4 world titles" is possible for Wlad within 18 months if he keeps winning.
no, wlad isnt good enough
in his fight against peter, who seems to be an unskilled brawler, he did not win impressily by any standards
wlads chin is far to weak to be champ, if peter had had any boxing skills or stamina, many people would be talking about the next mike tyson
Right on man!! Not only is his chin weak but stamina (even though he did better in the peter fight) still seems to be a problem.

Since he never was the champ to begin with it should be phrased can Wlad become champ at all. The answer is yes. The heavyweight division is at an all time low and is worse than when Larry Holmes was in office. There is absolutely no one out there right now and none of these guys are truly better than b class fighters at best. In the old days, Klitchko's, Rahman, Tua, Byrd, and all of them (With the exception of maybe Toney) would be the guys you have to beat to get to the A class and super class (champions) of fighters.
the only white guys int he division have gorilla nuts?? maybe that is the key to their success.
nice, that shit is funny. it must be the key because those guys cant be human. :D

can wladimir become a champion again.
wlad was never the champion.
but even though i hate him, he has good skils for a fighter his size and i think he would be the favorite against most fighters in the division. i think that he could take ruiz out because ruiz doenst have the right tools to beat wlad imo. byrd doesnt have the pop to keep wlad off of him but lamon brewster is a fighter he should stay away from. lamon has a sturdy chin and a huge heart. combined with his power i dont see wlad beating brewster.

Yes, of course. He's going to have to beat Brewster to do it, though. I consider Brewster the top ranked HW at the moment.
Byrd will obviously avoid Wlad as he's been doing, so Wlad will have to go after Brewster. While he would breeze through Byrd, Brewster is going to be much tougher. Brewster is confident in his ability to take Wlad's punches, and he's also becoming very confident in his punching power. Brewster has really looked like the real deal in his last 2 fights.
But then you get really confused when you see that Meehan beat him by controlling him with a jab. So it's doable, but Wlad's going to have to train just like he did for Peter with the 120 rounds of sparring and all that, so he's ready to go the full 12 this time instead of 4 1/2. And don't drink any water with unbroken seals, and watch your backstage passes very closely. ;)
Resume wise only Ruiz got a better resume, but Wlad really beat his opponents as opposed to Ruiz.
Yeah, that is true. I should have noted that.
Ruiz would be a candidate for discussion as far as "resumes" are concerned.
However gift the decisions he recieved were.

I dont know why that is the general sediment. Both fighters have losses by stoppage, Wlad has 3, VK has 2.
Wlad has fought the much better level of opposition, and has much more experience as a fighter.
Outside of Johnson, Williams, Sanders, and Donald......I really could not point to a defining win for the older brother.
And that is being generous when I say "defining" because those fighters are really nothing special.
Wlad has defeated, and knocked out the majority of these fighters:
Barrett
Schulz
Peter
Mercer
Mcline
Nicholson
Byrd
Jefferson
and arguably has the most impressive resume in the division.

Only novices regard VK as a better fighter simply because of his performance against an out of shape Lewis, and his vengeance on Corrie Sanders:
Who landed a series of lucky punches on Wlad.
Wlad K.O. Sanders and Brewster in the rematch.
