Could Larry Holmes win a title right now?

Not a chance. He's an amazing boxer and he stayed potent for much much longer than most other boxers, but he's just too old. That "age is just a number" stuff is nonsense - the body breaks down as you get older, that's just the way it is, and even Larry Holmes' skill can't make up for that at the age of 56, fighting guys in their prime...

Bruno in his prime would be a serious, serious threat to anyone in the division today. He wasn't a great boxer, but with a punch like that he didn't need to be. What did Bruno in as a professional was a weak set of whiskers. Give him an iron chin and he beats Tyson and Lewis easily IMO. Even with the weak chin, he made guys nervous to be in there with him.

That's the five-round one, right? Because the second was even worse. Bruno reputedly had one of the hardest punches ever, but he couldn't box. No one ever claimed he was a great, but he was a popular personality in the UK. "bum"? Bit harsh... he did, after all, outbox Lennox Lewis for six rounds. yeah i guess bum is a little harsh. but i get harsh on guys like frank bruno who have a million dollar body and a ten cent brain. it was the 5 rounder by the way, there def was no reason for these guys to fight twice before lewis and tyson fought once.

That would be funny actually... all Tyson's old enemies queueing up to get revenge. Did you know that before Frank Bruno was recently diagnosed with a mental illness he talked of a three-way fight to the top? He was going to take on Olympic gold winner Audley Harrison, avenge himself against Tyson and then batter Lennox Lewis. All three seemed quite ridiculous, but in hindsight maybe an old Frank could take an old Tyson. speaking of that sissy ass frank bruno. i watched the first bruno tyson fight the other day. for all those people who think WLad clinched a lot against Peter go back and watch this fight. Frank Bruno porbably clinches 20 times a round, and probably throw about 5 punches, some of the most pitiful boxing i have ever seen. i dont care what anybody says, bruno was a bum.

I think he could definitely beat Ruiz. He beat Ray Mercer in his prime when he was old, and should of beat McCall.. I bet he would be a force.. no, he could not win a title right now. john ruiz has a boring style, but hes underrated imo. hes not THAT bad
