The Contender show messed up......

You can't fault the guy for being a good father. All he wanted to do was get as far into the competition to get his best chance as possible, and he achieved that. And WHO THE HELL would dodge Jimmy Lange. He was one of the worst boxers there other then Brent it wouldn't of mattered if he fought Bonsante he would of been KO'd anyways. i never blamed him for being a bad/good father. indeed he was a good father and a good man, but hes got a bad work ethic and has some emotion problems. when you say ur gonna fight this guy and you wanna rip him apart (regardless of how good or bad he is), and then you switch opponents when it comes time to choose, thats the cowards way out. if he wanted to get as far as he could, he couldve just said that he wanted to fight brent and hyped it up anyway.

Not Bonsante. He absolutely DEMOLISHED that church guy Brent. Bonsante was a psycho in the ring. I remember he would look at his children in-between rounds and he would have a look of pure anger. I remember one of the trainers used his family as motivation. Come to think of it, that guy was really cool. I respect him alot as a person. bosante was the biggest BITCH of the whole season. he would cry over everything. "i hurt my leg, i might get kicked off! my kids are here and i didnt think they would be! my son is telling me he misses me! i lost! waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! mommy!!!" whenever i talk to people who saw the contender, they all say the same thing: "it would have been better if there wasnt so much drama/crying". and nobody cried more than anthony bosante. and then he had that time where he was hyping up a fight between him and jimmy and when it came time to pick his opponent, he picked brent. that said to me FIGHT DODGER. he said he could take a punch when in fact he cant. the only thing i liked about bosante was he was the fighter who was always involved in KOs, he gave a KO and was KOd and when he was KOd he was crying and screaming "NO! NO!" he couldnt handle anything without shedding tears the size of bombs.

naw i dont think they should show the whole fight because the majority of people who watched the show were viewing it for the drama of each fighter not whos a better boxer or not.

I'm sure alot of people have told this to ESPN (who is taking the show over for the 2006 season) and maybe they will show the whole fight.... overall, since the Contender didnt have great ratings last season, obviousely ESPN is gonna make alot of changes to make it more interesting... if they are smart they will completely redo the whole show to make it more intense.. it didnt have great ratings compared to cold case and the big shows it was up against, but it did have great ratings for a boxing show... it drew 4-5 million households each week, which translated to 10-15 million people... in contrast its drawing the same ratings that Martha Stewart's Aprrentice is drawing now... changing the show will lose the mainstream, non boxing fans that watch it...

/\/\/\I agree, but to be honest the TUF guys are so bad and its bery boring watching them, at least personaly.

To bad that the fights (3x5 minuters) are way to long. The TUF should have 3x3 minute fights, the contender, i don't know. The doku and the fights separately maybe? i respectfully disagree. i think its fine that the TUF has 3 5 min rounds, if it was only 3 min, the fight would be over to damn soon and would be much harder to judge and probly harder to enjoy. as for the contender, i agree. they should show the whole fight, but i hate the fact that the contender fighters are too damn feather fisted and we would have to sit thru the whole fight with very few KDs or KOs.

10 million people didnt tune in each week cause they wanted to see boxing matches, if that were the case more people would watch friday night fights on espn.... it was the entire show that made it successful, the fighters, the drama, the story, etc... i loved the show and hope they dont change a thing... if i wanna see enitre fights there are already half dozen boxing shows where i can see that(HBO, showtime, etc.)
