Is to come out gangbusters throwing bombs like Brewster did against Golota and surprise the dogshit out of Vitali. IF he can manage to catch Vitali off guard, then I think he might have a chance. Otherwise...
i don't think rahman's best chance is to jump on vitali and try to pummel as soon as the bell rings. i think, perhaps, his best chance is to gradually put in more work as the fight goes on. but having said that, vitali like to be a bit defensive in some rounds to take a rest and gets his second wind around rounds 6 to 8. he picks up the pace from there.
hopefully, he prepares well and isn't too rusty in the ring.
Its Ra-man, like the noodles basically. Remember after he knocked out Lewis and they showed that thing on ESPN where people couldn't pronounce his name correctly? Some DJ was interviewing him and kept fucking it up and asking how to say it. Rahman kept saying Ra-man, not Rock-man. He's obviously just accepted that fags won't say his name correctly.
I bet you have black friends, Mike R. And I bet you know the exact number. And especially the exact number that's been to your house. He's a black muslim huh? Why'd you say black?
Yeah, I have 14 black friends named Rahman and they all pronouce it like its spelled, so ha.
i said black muslim because he's a black muslim. cut the PC bullshit please.
(edit)- ps- i'm sure it's possible that different people pronounce it differently? but the guy i work with told me it was 'rock-man'. i asked specifically because of hasim rahman, and i noticed he had the same last name so i asked him how he pronounced it. and he told me 'rock-man', confirming the pronunciation of all the commentators etc.
and just for the record (and i don't expect you to care at all) i really don't appreciate you pulling the race card like that. completely uncalled for and really rather ignorant considering you don't know anything about me, and never will.
Rahman actually has a chance. Remember in Lennow Lewis fight with Vitali. Vitali ate right hads all night. (So did Lewis) Anyway Rock only has two punches in his arsenal a left jab and a right cross. His right hand definitely has power in it. If he doesnt chase klitchko and lets klitchko come after him and sends right hands at him and keeps him thiking with his jab then rock has a chance. Otherwise doesnt look good. It also depends on which Rahman comes to the fight. The underachiever or the fighter.
It's pronounced Rah-man. Whoever says differently is a moron.
Rahman just says Rock-Man because his nickname is "Rock" so it's just logical to say that I guess, I don't know. But in no way would the ah in Rahman be pronounced as a ck sound, no fucking way. That's just going against English.
Apologize if this question was asked before, but what's with the "A Russian butt-fucked me" under your name?
are you joking when you say Sanders hits harder than Rahman? why does everyone think Sanders has so much power?
because he does have so much power. 18 first round knockouts,,,more than both lennox lewis and either klitschko. the only heavy to be able to knockout durable al cole and he did it in the first round. he can crack,,but unfortuntely for him he has no defense or stamina
Are you sure about that? Why do they call him Haseem "The Rock" Rahman then? It is pronounced Rock-Mon! Never ever heard it pronounced any different and he always refers to himself in interviews in the third person and he calls himself Haseem Rock-Mon!
it is pronounced rah-man,,,,,but his nickname is the rock so everyone calls him rockman

quite the psychologist. i applaud you my friend.
Sanders does hit harder than Rahman. Sanders has a terrific punch he just rarely comes in shape to fights cause he doesn't really care anymore about boxing. Rahman's only chance is to rush Vitali, but then Vitali will counter him in the rush. My guess is if Rahman doesn't get it done in the first round all those shots he will take to his head will get him too dizzy to think out any significant punching executions. He's going down mid rounds.
rahman's power is overrated and vitalis chin is underrated. people rate rahman's power based on his one punch KO of the weak chinned lennox lewis. and what impressive KO has rahman had since then?
... thats what i thought.
are you joking when you say Sanders hits harder than Rahman? why does everyone think Sanders has so much power?
rahman himself said that sanders hit him the hardest(prior to rahman getting KO'd by lewis)... sanders KO'd al cole in 1 round, a guy who just went the distance in a close fight with rahman and is usualy very durable... sanders also has early KO's of other durable fighters... its really sanders only strenght, his quick, powerful left hand...
Rahman has less of a chance than Sanders did IMO. He is much slower and doesn't quite hit as hard as Corrie. If Sanders couldn't successfully blitz him, I don't think Rahman has the capability to do so.
Hasim has about as much of a chance as Williams, which is a respectable one going into the fight but pretty much nil once he feels the hard leather Vitali will be slinging his way.
Rahman just doesn't have the chin to survive against a taller, stronger man with a stiff jab. He is going to get hurt, and hurt bad.
Vitali Klitschko by stoppage in round six.

it's spelled rahman- but it's indeed pronounced 'rock-man'. i have a friend at work with the same last name. he's a black muslim but i'm not sure if that's the origin of the name or not.
why do so many misspell and mis-pronounce rahman's name? its pronounced RA-Man. Not Rachman, like every idiot announcer seems to say. reminds me of idiotic reporters who would mispronounced Tupac's name.

I feel kinda bad for Rahman. He stands little chance in this fight, but if he does manage to pull it off, it will be blamed on ring rust and injuries on the part of Big Klit.
Rahman could be playing possum in the fight with Barrett, I don't care what anybody says but that fight was fixed just to get Rahman shot at Vitali. Vitali is the most cool-headed and athletic boxer out there today, he will take his time. I doubt he will rush Rahman.
Your probably right, but it doesn't hurt to hope :)
There is alot of talk about Rahman rushing after Vitali, but I would not be surprised to see Vit go after Rahman hard from the first bell like against Lewis and Johnson.
1. Vitali does not like Rahman.
2. Vitali is rusty and may worry about a long fight.
3. Rahman showed he could not take Barrett's shots well.
4. If it does not work well for Vitali he can just shut down in the mid rounds to rest and know that Rahman will be comfortably inhabbiting his shell.
5. Did I mention Vitali does not like Rahman.
I think Vit going after Rock will screw with Rock's head and give Vitali a good chance at a early knockout. Even without a quick knockout, Rahman will take several rounds to get out of his jab - move - jab - hug mode giving Vit a good lead on the cards.

i'm sure vitali has watched every second of every round fought between lewis and rahman- being that lewis is their most reputable common opponent. the 'lucky punch' just isn't going to happen in my opinion. lewis' mistakes are on tape and on the record and vitali has seen them and knows exactly what to do and what not to do. vitali is a very smart individual, and i think he'll be as ready as he needs to be to beat rahman. he has all of the tools neccesary to obliterate rahman- and then some.
but again- the reason i love this sport- nobody really knows whats going to happen. i liked the comment about this being rahman's last big shot- because that is just so utterly true. and maybe rahman's got some secret stuff deep down that will just bloom out of nowhere and we'll see a whole other fighter in there aside from the rahman we're all used to.
or maybe all of this drama between him and don king will mess him up- and he'll just get destroyed in even worse fashion than anyone expects. he's going to need everything he has to offer and more to take this fight from vitali. i'm really looking forward to this though

Vitali is out for blood this time. he hates rahman, and its been brewing for awhile. as soon as vitali sees his spot he is going to terminate with extreme prejudice.
