I was thinking about this ... some fights would have got a completely different outcome, had it taken place on the streets (at least in my opinion). Do you agree with me here?
For instance:
Chris Byrd vs. David Tua
Wladimir Klitschko vs. Samuel Peter
Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman
Roy Jones Jr. vs. John Ruiz
I think Foreman would beat Ali in a street fight.
Oh yeah and many people still fight without weapons. Its not like they portray on tv. There is a fight at least every week after school and nobody has ever been stabbed or killed. Although some people have been knocked the hell out.
alot of people are too afraind to use a weapon cause if they accidently kill the dude they will spend a long time behind bars!
It all depends where the fight is. If it's in a school yard, Ali will beat the crap out of Foreman, if it's in a small ally then Foreman will win.
i'd favour foreman on the streets because his punches would hit even harder and ali would have a tough time using his footwork on a street with standing water bottles oil and all the other crap on out streets.
infact ithink foreman would take ali down and pound him intop the pavement!

another comical thread... lets see.. I wasn't bad street fighter in my day.. Until I got the shit beat out of m a by a Little redheaded irish boy named Bobby Jarrett.. And guess what? he was a boxer..

Foreman would be bareknuckle dont forget
Pacquiao would beat Morales in a street fight!!!!!! I mean fist fight. Pacman must have had millions of em when he was a lil boy. LOL!!!!
Yeah but Morales grew up in Tijuana. It don't get much tougher than that. Everytime I go there I get into a fight, and have to run from them crazy federales trying to jack me :D
Guys like Chuck Wepner or Tex Cobb would destroy any boxer on the the planet in a street fight.. However they would have to be in their prime to do so.... :boxing:
I dont understand the point, they were boxers themselves.
I think a skilled boxer would annihilate a street fighter. You have to remember just how hard these guys are capable of hitting. Yes, even Byrd could put one of us regular guys in the hospital very easily. A guy like Tua or Peter could easily kill us outright.
I've seen tons of street fighting videos, and without fail, they are clumsy, flailing, undisciplined fighters throwing wild punches that a skilled boxer (and not just someone in the top 50, but any skilled boxer, pro or amateur) would see coming a mile away and counter.
I have fought in numerous MA tournaments, and when I was beaten, it was always by the more patient, more intelligent fighter than me. Not the one that just ran in and started wailing.
Yes they do. Vitali was the more successful of the two, but both were amateur kickboxers. I remember hearing about them when I myself was an amateur kickboxer in the early 90's while I was living in England. Ahh, those were the good old days. Im glad I retired undefeated (11-0) cause those guys would have murdered me. lol.
 damn, what the.. self pwnage?
Street fights are more about controlling your self, not letting the adrenaline rush take over. Becuase one good punch will drop a man, and once on the floor the fight is over, you can choke him, kick him in the head or brake his arms or anything once he is done.
Rules:
1) Dont be afraid
2) Dont try to throw many punches
3) Just take a beating if you have to and when you see an opening drop on the the chin and you got the fight.
Just recently my friend had a fight in a park, (some cholos hustling him for money), so the fight starts and the cholo starts dropping a bunch of sloppy punches on his face, my friend just had his guard up, both forearms covering his face, all he did was throw one counter uppercut and the cholo was knocked out cold, this is about 15 punches Vs 1 ;)
Again it all depends how the fight is fought, is it with fists only or are legs involved...

your not completely correct, wlad has allways boxed and vit was a kickboxer in his early days.
may explain why wlad is a lot more technical and vit has a weird style.
vk was world kickboxing champ twice as amature and twice as pro.
Who knows, without gloves Ali could have been a KO puncher!! I think anyone who packs a decent punch and has some good skills can beat most people in a street fight. Bare Knuckle is so different and because there is no ring, there's no where to back a person up too, a good counter puncher can be brutal in the street! it only takes a well timed shot under the chin and its lights out for ANYONE.
People rant on about size in a street fight and think that good boxing ability isnt good enough to beat a thug, but i can say from a lot of personal experience that boxing is the reason i've survived some of the tight spots i've been in and its it definitely the reason i've been able to seriously hurt people without hardly trying. If you want to defend yourself in the street then aggressive, accurate boxing training is perfect.
i have to agree with the fact that boxers can do damage on the street, we know how to punch, so common sense tells u boxing helps u on the street.
but on the street there are no rules, it takes heart to stand up to a big hefty screamin thug and be in control of urself! if u get wa i mean.
in the streets its a totally diferent ball game. in a streetfight u need to be able to control ur adrenaline and be relaxed enough to punch properly, cos sum people will shit it and cover up, even tho they might have the power to knock sum1 da fuk out!

I have to agree with this. Mike Tyson broke his hand as he punched Mitch Green outside the ring. When a professional boxer like Tyson breaks his hand, most people will do the same I am sure.
Some years back I heard of a guy who basically hurt his entire right body side from one punch he threw (arm broken, shoulder injured, even the leg was hurt). Anybody heard this story and can add some details?
By the way, I just wanted to let you guys know that I enjoy spending time here on the forums. I do not post much, but read a lot. Thanks for that. :boxing:
Well, let me for one, say welcome. Feel free to post as often as you like.
Peter & Wlad will break there hands if they land a clean punch on each other without gloves. I've broken my hand 2 different time in a street fight.

Don't the klitchko's know some kick boxing junk as well?
