I'm not hating at all, dude. Ruiz is not the worst HW champ ever. The reason I said I don't expect you to know that is because most ppl of this generation just haven't seen all of the HW champs in order to know he is not the worst ever. I'm not hating. I know my posts sound like I'm a dick sometimes but I'm just tellin you there's no way you can say Hops last 7 yrs were better than Roy's. P.S. Hops wouldn't beat Roy's ass even if they fought now. Hops and Roy together makes a boring fight with no one's ass getting kicked. O.K. sorry to be crude I like you and usually like your opinions too and you are right I don't know a whole lot about all of the past HW champions but he is the worst in a while as far as I can tell and I don't really even consider him a champ anyway.I think Hopkins is clearly at this stage of their careers the fresher man now and would give Roy a very hard time....I mean he did not do all bad way back when they fought in what 93 or 94.

Ruiz is not the worst HW in history but I wouldn't expect you to know that. He's not one of the better ones either, but he's still someone Hopkins wouldn't beat in all liklihood. It is also very doubtful Hopkins will get any revenge over Taylor. 3 years ago he woulda KO'd Taylor but now he is just too old, as was Jones in his recent fights. Anyway, let's look at the last 7 years of Jones and Hopkins' careers and see why you are wrong in saying Hopkins had a better 7 years in that time. In the last 7 years, Roy beat Tarver, Ruiz, Woods, Kelly, Gonzalez, Harmon, Harding, Hall, Telesco, Johnson, Frazier, Grant, Del Valle, and Hill. Hopkins dring that time beat Eastman, DLH, Allen (3x), Joppy, Hakkar, Daniels, Tito, Holmes, Echols (2x), Vanderpool, and Brown. Roy had good wins vs Ruiz, Tarver, Woods, Gonzalez, Harding, Johnson, Grant, Del Valle, and Hill. Hopkins had good wins vs Eastman, DLH, Allen, Tito, Holmes, Echols, and Vanderpool. Hopkins' biggest wins were versus guys significantly smaller than him. Roy's biggest wins were versus guys bigger than him. Basically, there's just no way you can say Hopkins' last 7 years were better than Roy's unless you are a Hopkins fan, which you must be since you admitted you've been a Roy hater and that you are rooting for Hopkins in the rematch. Additionally, for you to base the last 7 years as better for Hopkins based on Jones' losses recently when he clearly should be retired is just flat out dumb. But, if you want to go that route I could argue Hopkins last 7 years are looking bad because he lost a to a green fighter in Taylor whereas Roy lost to a vet with skills and power. Also, Roy dominated 175 as easily as Hopkins dominated 160. Basically, there is just no way you can say Hopkins' resume over that time is clearly better than Roy's. I'd go with the Jones haters. The ones who forget that the guy was unbeatable for a damn decade. The ones who see something like that written, & come up with so many ways to downgrade it. It's a fact, though. You can dislike him for his methods, in & out of the ring.....but in your heart(s) you know NONE of the guys you PRETEND would have beaten him, could have beaten him. & I wouldn't even consider myself a fan of his.

This is a toss up between Hopkins and Jones, but i voted for Hopkins. Most notably, the fine floks across the pond are the biggest haters of both these fighters, claiming they ducked everyone.

The huge difference between Roy and Nard is that nard knows he can lose, And Roy(before Tarver Roy) did not.

I picked Roy and I happen to be one of those moderate haters...I just don't look at him that great he has never left me in AWW.Lately Hopkins has alot of haters but has been much better and more consistent than RJJ in the past 5-7 years.

Byrd by far. LOL sorry I had to do a parody on that thread by Rodgers cause it just totally out of the blue Wlad hating. But I have to say Byrd is my choice for doesnt get enough respect. He is a defensive genious that, if he didnt decide to go to heavyweight, would probably be king of cruisers. On top of that hes the only heavywieght who has fought almost everyone worth fighting. He went after Ike (ouch), Tua, both klitchkos, golota, mcline. Those people are all monsters compared to him but he fights them anyways.

For me its a split between Wlad and Jones jr. Too bad Roy cant prove his critics wrong anymore...
