i think the peek a boo style. and i think its entertain cause there constantly moving and u dont know when there going to punch. i dont see it alot n e more besides tyson pretty much. no to me every one besides like prince naseem fights pretty much the same.
Maybe YOU didn't see anyone like Benn, until he came around....
Well ive only got vids, the only Benn fight i remember on tv was Gman when i was about nine & the only Benn fights i went to were the Collins fights with my bro. but who else was like Benn in recent times before him ?
man, i havent got time for this. u know what i meant anyway, every punch was a knockout punch with Benn preTibbsy & postTibbsy(Gman fight) & he would give it every thing, & peeps hadnt seen that shat. but now we got the Gattis & the Wards & the Hattons et al.
Maybe YOU didn't see anyone like Benn, until he came around....
Actually....I like(d) Benn...have tons of respect for him.
But, what you said, was ridiculous.
man, i havent got time for this. u know what i meant anyway, Benn tried to take your head off with each & every punch thrown preTibbsy & postTibbsy(Gman fight) & he would just give it everything & give it his all, & peeps hadnt seen that shat. but now we got the Gattis & the Wards & the Hattons et al.
just another brit-hating Yank i guess ?
u know what i meant.

Nigel Benn is most exciting fighter i ever seen, he was the original 100% fighter!
yeah....the "original"
There was nobody as good, as complete, before him.
i like aggressive swarmers like joe frazier and roberto duran who like JC Chavez had very underrated defense
defensive genius toney but its hard for him to deal with lateral movement as evidenced by montell griffin and RJ jr.(even though toney had to sweat down and damn near kill himself to make weight you could tell he was frustrated anyways)
gotta give it to prime tyson because of that head movement, i dont' think anyone can replicate the combo of head movement, power and speed
and i love me those guys that give their all, not very good technically but man their tuff gatti, ward, barkley (talk about warriors)
so basically i like aggression even if its pretty calculated like hearns, trinidad, hagler
don't like movers SRL, Ali and btw i don't honestly believe that the general public was so fascinated by his skills that made them want to watch him, it was everything else, his charisma, the civil rights stance, the ability to sell himself, all these things i thinked helped make him along with boxing so big, his skills alone would never take him to where we hold him today ti was everything besides the actual fighting itself. can you imagined if he never ryhmed or never dodged the war or never was a black muslim?
Best right now Lacy....he is always fan friendly.....not the smartest but it has worked so far......overall it has to be the specialists such as PBF,Sugar Ray,Prime RJJ and so on.
I loved watching Felix Trnidad. He had a pseudo peek-a-boo style too, hiding behind a high guard, feeling out the timing of his opponent's punches, and at the right moment when he has his opponent's timing down, delivering crushing counterpunches.
He had incredible conditioning, never tired, never reckless, calculating, threw carefully timed shots while always moving forward. Devestating to watch. Never saw such a skinny, unmuscular body deliver such sharp, crisp powershots.
That peek a boo style will drive me away from boxing if any more fighters did that

ths most entertaining style is the agrresive come foward style for example tito he was hardly in a dull fight ....also the brawler like gatti he was a couple of foy awards ..these may not be the smartest style but they create the most excitement .....
ali. he danced and made boxing look like fun to those who weren't interested before. he was poetry!
