I'm just being honest. Bobby is a fellow countryman but I gotta say it how I saw it. El Famoso deserved to win the fight. He had the upperhand in the exchanges from the fourth round onwards. He should've won it.
B. Pacquiao is gettin betta and betta. I believe that he is ready fo a title shot gainst Jesus Chavez. Chavez beat Herandez, B Pacquiao whompered Hernandez too. Bring on tis FOTY type of match. Pacquiao will win via decision if he fights Chavez. LOL!
SpongeBobby Pacquiao won ta fight!!!!! I've watched it 12 times now and I noticed that SpongeBobby did his thang in ta 1st rounds and did a late rally. Gotta give him his due, HATERS!!!!!
WHO NEXT?? WHO NEXT?? WHO FUCKIN NEXT??!!!!!

He sure was props for being unbiased.
Hernandez definitely deserved the nod for the fight but some posters are acting like it was a one-sided beatdown. By the 3rd round, Famoso's face was swollen and his nose was bleeding badly. It's as if to say Cotto-Torres was one-sided, get outta here!
Even if Hernandez has gotten the decision, it wouldn't have change a thing. Bobby Pac is a journeyman with double digit losses and has been stopped six times. Elite fighters should be KO'ing a fighter the caliber of Bobby Pac, but Famoso didn't. Famoso is not in his prime anymore and he's 35.
I'm kindda happy for Bobby but also very sad because Famoso is one of the biggest class acts in boxing today, a true warrior but he really needed this win, especially with the recent tragedy in El Salvador.
I saw Hernandez win the fight - Bobby started out great but ran out of steam by the 3rd round and was just out-hustled by Hernandez. I'm thinking that the judges thought it was Manny fighting and gave him the benefit of the doubt so they could be hired for the Morales rematch next January-06... just a thought.
There's no debating the clearer picture of a fight if it is viewed multiple times. It is the most correct way of reviewing a shooting war. Janno is one poster I warmly respect in this site and I consider a buddy. He's right with that and it showed when you quoted me that I agree with what he posted.
However, I would like to strees to you that the focus of this thread wasn't primarily to post an "in depth" look at the fight but to air the side of the boxing observers who has a tendency to favor the boxer who is "seemingly" more accurate in a heated exchange THE FIRST TIME THEY SEE IT. Both were busy fighters in the bout but there are people who slightly favors the one who tags more and has the more telling punches and makes the other fighter look out of balance at times (like me) THEN, there are people like Janno who keenly looks at the angles and he is also right in his views.
Think of it this way...
Me and Janno are technically both correct. It could've gone either way but this thread was for people who saw the fight the first and only time. And most of them would probably have Famoso winning. But I bet you'd be surprised at what I'd say if I made a thread that read: "FAMOSO and PACQUIAO: A 3RD LOOK"
you're right. judge scores it "first-hand". no wonder the fight raised a lot of eyebrows. i'm just a little concern why the 2 judge scores it that way then the 3rd one far from the 2 others.
hi fistfest, sorry to comment, but i think you should read janno's "indepth" review of the fight. he was right (imo), the fight could've gone a draw or bobby winning by 1 point. but that was after reviewing the fight a few times.
the only thing questionable was not famoso losing the game but why is it the scoring of one judge was very far the other two judges.

:D Janno my bro! How bout cha? I am all good here in the land of San Miguel Beer Oktoberfest and Sisig. Well, I gotta concede it to you in your last statement. Indeed, a win is a win. I'm sure Roach will train him well to be ahead comfortably next time to avoid complications in his next fight. True, it could go either way. It just so happened that there are some people like me who goes to the more accurate fighter just incase both are high output boxers. BUT a win is a win. I'm just lobbying for Famoso to still get some decent fights after this one. The guy's a really nice man I heard. :D

hi fistfest,
what's up?
well i saw it differently, at least is should have been a draw...a second/third pass at the fight vid had me winning b-pac by a single point...however this fight could have gone the other way easy...but i don't think it was a robbery...

People, Famoso deserves to have a rematch. Can anybody here provide the background of the two judges who gave questionable scores? Duane Ford and this other guy...
Arums involments or wrong doings can be link to this thread topic on wheather or not Hernandez was robbed.
Yeah I know but Knives has been postin' stuff about Arum in other threads too. There's a pattern here my friend. Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at the guy :D
That might be the truth but I wont say. My computer could be bugged by them. They are watching you know.

So it was all fake then huh, when Arum was upset when Hernandez lost?

Arum was under investigation by the FBI for paying bribes to judges and doctors. Failing to make a conviction or still pending, the Commision wants him out of boxing so they fix fights like the one we witnessed last night. Hernandez is promoted by Top Rank as you know.

He might be involved in the shadiest dealings of any promoter in the history of the sport. Five thousand times worse than Don King.
