i've been reading that despite a relatively negative performance from both men, jones was demonstrating some of his old skills in the 5th round, rocking tarver, wud it be possible for someone with the know how to post a gif or video clip? wud be much appreciated.
Nice one,

It was all about not getting KO'd. And going out as the ultimate showman. Boxing definatly was not top of his priorities that night.
i definitly agree, last time rjj went for a big punch agaisnt tarver, he opened himself up, and found himself on the canvas.
Fucking jones! he pissed me off big time he could have ended it in the 5th if he was a finisher like pacquiao or jeff lacy! what kinda shit was that he had him hurt and backed off and did some chicken moves! wtf?
And then in the 11th what the fuck jones you moron! why did you not take it to him dude jones has more power he should have made his offense his defense and threw many punches.
That is why I got so mad man I was fucking screaming saying get him now now now ! and then he backed off.
Iv seen the fight, and im not jokin wen i say that everytime tarver came at him, roy jones absolutely shit it lol! he covered up with no intention to counter.
I liked his 4th n 5th round, but da rest of the fight he was just happy to not get hit, and at the end of the fight, which he knew he obviouisly lost, was smiling!!!!!
which boxer smiles after a boring fight which u lose! man castillio gave us a great fight with corales, was he happy??? lol
roy jones just wanted to go 12 rounds and not get knocked out!

not to be rude, but hell no, spend $50 on it like everyone else did.
hmm
Well it was a good crowd to me because 75% were rooting for Roy. Roy got big cheers every time he threw. Tarver got booed big time although I didn't boo him.
My observations...I was cautious leading up to the fight about Roy. I tried not to get my hopes up. I was fairly successful at this but during the first half of the fight it really seemed Roy would eek out a decision. But, he proved th be just as tired as Tarver in the late rounds and couldn't do anything. His punches definitely did not have the pop of yesteryear from my viewpoint, but they were pretty fast. His reflexes, footspeed, and chin are not as good as they used to be although still not horrible. His handspeed is pretty much as good as ever it's just his REACTION time that has slowed. In the 11th it seemed Roy was gonna get KO'd which was my greatest fear but he hung tough and even walked Tarver down in that same round. All in all it was a mediocre fight but I was just glad Roy had his moments and didn't get KO'd. Not getting my hopes up proved to be the right thing to do.
Tarver is getting old now as well I think and he will lose to a tough active guy like Adamek or maybe even Johnson if they fight again.
Basically, Roy needs to retire. Tony Dorsett once said to Emmitt Smith that the 1st thing to go is the willingness to get hit. Even though that was for football, the same applies to boxing.
hey superlightweight...you were there at the fight. what were your observations. i saw it on television but i want to know what your perspective was since you were actually there...
btw-i had a funny feeling when roy came out smiling on his walk out...not a sign that he's totally into a fight.
