Germany should be banned from boxing, its a disgrace how time after time they continue to rob fighters. The belts should refuse to sanction fights there anymore.
I accept hometown decisions, its been part of boxing since it began but a hometown decision is IMO where the home fighter wins the close rounds, its not them winning every round regardless of how they perform!!
I can only think of a couple of times when a fighters been "robbed" in the UK. When Johnny Nelson fought Guillermo Jones i'd consider that unfair even tough the fight was a draw and when Scott Harrison beat Victor Polo it caused a few deabates. Even then when it wasnt really robbing i felt sorry for the opponents so the German fans surely must feel like fools because ALL OF THEIR FIGHTS ARE FIXED!!
Dont confuse Germany with other european countrys, they are on their own when it comes to biased decisions.
dont be an idiot. Mosely De La Hoya. Nope, Don King wasn't involved in that.
STFU, you the idiot, I didn't disagree with you..
Go fuck yourself you ugly bitch, you look like a old bitch and that your boyfriend just cummed on your ugly ass face.
Either that, or you wearin a mask.
u cant ban germany cause u wont see any more Felix Sturm
Its not banning the sport there, no one other than the German government can do that, its stopping world title fights until the judging improves.
I think thats fair because the judging has been terrible.
I agree, but generalship and aggession are very subjective categories.
So are power shots, when you see James Toney throw punches they dont look like power shots but they are. How can anyone other than the fighters know if they are power shots or not??
Judging here in the states is so damn bad, that Stevie Johnston had to return the belt to JLC himself because Ken Morita failed his math class.

Ok, I apologize, sorry about that...
but what I am saying is there is NO WAY you can compare Hopkins-Taylor to Reid-Ottke etc.
OK
Yep, Hopkins-Taylor is controversial and is not a high-way robbery by any means. I agree on that.
hey, punk, if i knew this dumb, insulting post was coming, i would have never talked to you
you are not worth talking to

Nautilus...
stfu with your Hopkins was robbed, yes he was, but all your points are stupid and don't make sence...
A robbery is a fight where everyone knows the fighter lost..
Hopkins ran for the first half of the fight.

That's your opinion! Were you at the fights?
What did Hopkins do to say WHOA! NO WAY IN HELL TAYLOR WON THAT FIGHT?!
Taylor threw punches and they looked like they landed so the judges gave Taylor the rounds...
robberries in germany at the world level are obvious .
but just check at the euro level . sometimes it s more than roberry , last euro welterweight championship fight i saw , a french dude beated michael trabant so bad he looked like elefant man , and the scores were 119-108 for the german . the french fighter even said that the german fighter came to apologize .
but as for banning , well no , just watch tyson-lewis , the biggest fight in recent history and a fuckin biased referee in eddie cotton .
in front of the whole world . welcome to boxing
I dont think stats prove anything, power punching is a part of what wins the round but there's other factors that get taken into consideration(i.e. ring generalship and aggression).

Hopkins ran for the first half of the fight.
his advantage in power-punching was well distributed over rounds, as shown in the post that precedes yours
Hopkins dominated in terms of power-punching in 8 out of 12 rounds, including rounds 3,4, and 5.

Oh god.
One judge gave 3 of the first 4 rounds to Trinidad. Also the 12th to De La Hoya.
That fight = Fix from hell.
I think De La Hoya made Trinidad look bad in that fight, he was on a whole different level of ability.
I admit. Reid v.s. Ottke was horrible.
Keep in mind though. Here in the States, robberies are common.
three names:
Emmanuel Augustus Burton.
I only see the bigger fights in US, so i probably dont see these robberys. Here in the UK fights normally get judged correctly, theres always a few debates about close decision but thats always going to happen because its personal opinion.
I like Augustus, but he does get a few bad decisions. Surely a man who give Mayweather trouble should have a better record than he does.
Fights are judged round by round, Hopkins could have landed 10x as many punches as Taylor but it doesnt change the fact Hopkins lost the first 6 rounds because he didnt even try to fight.

While I do believe that DLH won against Trinidad I wouldnt call it a flat out robbery. The fact is that DLH ran and didnt do enough to win convincingly. A little of the same can be said for BHop vs Taylor.
