I see Guinn being more reluctant than ever to let his hands go.
He'll be facing a supreme counterpuncher, in Toney. Nothing discourages a fighter from punching more than knowing he'll be hard-pressed to land, & that he will pay when he misses.
Somehow (must get over the mental hurdle)....Guinn needs to jump on Toney right away, & see if James is sharp & ready enough to be that supreme counterpuncher.
Guinn will kick his fat ass around the ring. Toney looked like he was nearly 300 pounds in some of the pictures I've seen of him. It's only a matter of time before he losses too much weight, too quickly, and we see Bowe vs. Golota again.
I'm going out on a limb here but Guinn will be the one to do it. He has the skills and size to expose a post prime, out of shape Toney.
Believe it or not, alot of boxing writers are choosing Guinn to defeat Toney. I myself do not see it but on more than one occassion I have read someone choosing Guinn. I see Toney tko'ing this guy by the 8th round.
Guinn is no different than the talented fight called Howard Eastman these guy do let the hands go because their are afraid of being knocked out so instead just cover up.
Guinn will get chopped down by Toney in a easy fight for Toney
Guinn is nice and all but he's been in the game too long. He had over 300 amateur fights and that's just too much for a big man. He is not really lazy he is just past his prime already, and it'll only get worse.
I did not know he had so many amateur fights ....I always thought he was going to be good and wondered why he was so lazy when he fought especially the last 5 fights or so but that is a good point and could very well be true...SLW
Guinn is a boxer, but he does not have the killer instinct in him.
True but he showed it during the Grant fight....What the hell happened to him? He never was really completely dominated it was just like he gave up.
hmm

guinn has skills to be good but he doesn't seem to have the inner push or motivation to work...its like if he gets tired he just stops working. it seems like he does hardly anything when he fights so he won't be tired or suttin...
