He was absolute garbage did you see him against a washed up kevin kelley? I'm from Ireland but I had never seen this fool muchonly highlights until about 97. knocked down about 10 times by kelley and could hardly land on washed up kelley and that was his best win
I was never impressed with him and knew he would be picked apart easily if he ever thought a world class fighter and how right i was. he just bounced around throwing terrible punches but he got away with being so poor because he had so much power.
marco antonio barrera was a good choice to destroy the prince nazeem myth, a classy mexican warrior.
I hope nazeem cmes back, so he can get owned again.

I dont care what anyone says.
"The Yorkshire Hunter" is the coolest nickname ever.
I like 'Yorkshire Pudding'
I remember this KO over Augie Sanchez... It was brutal!
Sanchez left the ring on a stretcher!
He had Augie beat before they even stepped a foot in the ring. At the weigh in he told Augie that he looked nervous, then winked at him and said something like 'don't worry Augie I won't hurt you too bad'.
He was right, Augie only left the ring on a stretcher, he walked out of the hospital.

Dude, if you want to see over-rated look at Michael Grant. Hamed v Kelley was a great fight that took alot out of both fighters. The Prince has been out of action for awhile now....Let it go!!
No fuckin way is NAZ over rated, infact he's very under rated, people under rate him based on Barrera fight, but heck if you put Barrera in there with a Prince who was properly prepared Barrera wouldnt of come out of there in good health to put it politely.
on Natural Born Thriller VHS it shows NAZs destruction of Belcastro and it ranks as high as anything I've seen I mean Belcastro was a world class operator whereas NAZ was just a novice at the time and the Prince was not even hit flush one time in that fight whereas he was landing at will from angles you would never dream of seeing. I would definately pick the Prince who fought Belcastro over any bantamweight I've seen.
When he was fighting he was superbly overated, he was considered maybe the best pound for pound fighter at the time, He was a very very big favorite against Barrera, he was given contracts to video games because he was so well known as a extremely good boxer when even Mayweather ,Morales ,Barrera ,Trinidad couldnt get a video game named after them. People were saying he was gonna be the Mexican Assassin. He was overated when he was fighting.

Daneil Alicea
Manuel Medina
Tom Johnson
Wilfredo Vasquez
Kevin Kelley
Wayne McCullough
Paul Ingle
Vuyani Bungu
Cesar Soto
Augie Sanchez
Good solid victories and its not like he wasnt knocking these guys out and all.
PFFFFFF.
Imagine what he would've done if he didn't lose his hunger MANY years before fighting Barrera...
Biggest waste of talent EVER...

Naseem doesn't have and never had any discipline in him.
He was actually very difficult to get out of the gym up until he won the World title, he wanted to be a legend and back in those days he was sometimes known to be back at the gym 20 mins after leaving the gym! But then after winning the World title he changed and went from very over-confident to very, very over-confident and it was then apparently very difficult to actually get Naz in the gym Post-95. But all the hard work for the first few years of his career carried over through to the Tom Johnson fight which was his last decent performance, his best ever performance remains Steve Robinson (when he won the title). But yeah, he didn't train anywhere near as hard when he was World Champion as to when he was an up-and-coming contender. 1994/95 his combination-punching and defence was frightening, but he became more and more reliant on one-punch KO's over time and his defence became less and less sharp over time.
Hamed was so classy in the ring... It's a shame we never really got to see his true potential. - Reason being, his immaturity!
Thats the best description of the Prince I have come across.
I would say he overrated himself.
He was an incredible natural talent, who although at times looked sloppy and all over the place, he had raw power, speed and was exiting as hell to watch.
(apart from a few borefeasts when he ran out of ideas)
He was great for boxing.
As for the Kelly fight, i thought he was exposed as very undisiplined and careless, but the punch that finished the fight was a really powerful, very short shot to the temple that most boxers couldnt dream of throwing.
Hamed wasn`t overrated, true fans of the sport new he had weaknesses such as balance and techique. However, some thought that the division was weak and Hamed`s power would always win out for him. it didn`t happen the night with barrera and he lost. He didn't comeback from it and this kinda ruins his standing.
