My Peter / Wlad Assessment

I'll try to keep my post short: Peter PROS: - Boy's got POWER! - Showed very decent chin. CONS: - He is still way too green! - No Skills! Wide swinger - No head, feet, or body movement - His Stamina didn't impress me at all. Each time he exploded, he would get tired very quickly. - Didn't prepare well TO WIN: - He should have just kept going from the first round.. Don't stand there in the middle eating jabs like a dummy! He knew how easily Wlad gets hurt and he was very, very limited to attack WladPROS: - Still very skilled - Great Jab - Good Power - Great Speed - Excellent Accuracy - Listens to corner well and did a great job in preparation CONS: - Not sure about his CHIN, but he does not know how to hold a punch and does not react well to being hit. - Yet I would still say that his Chin is very weak! - Even though he landed a lot and went to distance, he still got a mediocre stamina and showed a lot of fatigue. Most of it came from burning way to much energy trying to hold Peter down and of being stressed.. TO WIN: - He did exactly as I thought! My Take, Wlad will fight very cautiously and saving his energy to get a very comfortable UD over Peter Wlad / Peter Fight Predictions Poll Out of 74 Voted to-date Only 3 predicted the fight correctly! Damn I'm good Another great prediction! P.S. I'm attaching an image as of now before some smart asses start voting for the right decision

Great prediction Cooler.....I was one of the 28 who took Peter by KO and still thought is going to happen through 11.5 rounds but you all may shun me now.......I still don't like Wlad but have more respect for him he did what he had to do.....He should give Manny a huge bonus he would have never made through it if not for Manny.

Randy wasnt calling any fouls in this fight. :eek: Yup, I was pretty amazed that Neumann didn't deduct a point or two from Peter. I wonder how he would have done when he was in his prime against either Wlad or Sam. I just read that he beat Jimmy Young and Chuck Wepner (although lose the next two of his fights with Chuck). Has anyone seen any of his fights, or know about his style? Thanks.

Peter is tough, can take a punch for sure. I just hope that in the future, his number isn't had by all his opponents due to Wlad's showing of a way to win over him. Big props to Wlad, who was able to keep fighting after being hit in the back of the head like 8 times. It's a lot easier to KO someone by hitting them in the back of the head than it is by hitting them in the front of the head. Also of note, I think that Wlad's imbalance might be due to the fact that much of his weight is in his upper half, his legs are skinny, not much weight there, and since he is so tall, his center of gravity is lessened. I'm just glad he conquered his demons tonight.

A good confidence builder for Wlad, and a potentially good experience for Peter. They both took good and bad away from the fight. Wlad will do well agaisnt Byrd if he wins, I almost think TOS would be a tougher fight. Peter will need to work on stamina, and putting sharper punches together. With that chin and power at 24, he has time to grow. He would get schooled by Byrd or Toney at this point. wow,,,maybe youre not so bad afterall

This is what I saw in tonight's fight. Wladamir showed he has a world class trainer. Wlad is still a pussy for falling to the canvas the way he did to avoid getting hit. Peter really need's to rethink who handles him. Peter's corner was c- class at best, and he was far from being prepared for this fight. Klitschko had him figured out all the way, even though he's still a pussy. IMO Peter should ditch his trainer and look elseware for assistance in his fight preperation. roflmao. yea,,,hes a pussy that had peter doing the chicken dance in the last round. oh,,I love these klit haters. so how you guys feeling now?? lmao

Vitaly kept pretty good range against Sanders and Williamson.. You're not reading me at all. Wlad establishes range with his jab and fights technically. That did a lot to keep Peter at bay. Vitlai fights like a heavyweight version of Jirov. He stands straight up and throws clubbing arm lenght shots. I think the styles in that fight make for a much different match up.

Vitali kept a pretty good range against Sanders and Williamson.. BTW, Wlad was always an offencive boxer, but Stewart did a great job working that defence as well. Defence and counter punching still needs a big improvement, but he did good tonight!

Peter would ask some very different questions of Vitali. Peter is too green and doesn't have the lungs to beat Vitali, but I think it would be a more exciting fight. Vitali doesn't establish the range as well as Wlad did, and that was Wlad's key to victory.

Apparently no one has explained the rules of boxing to Peter. He needs to learn that it's not illeagal to try to duck or dodge a punch. Dummy just stood there. I really wasn't impressed with either fighter. No body attack from either. A jab and right from Wlad and wild and looping shots from Peter. There are other punches that are legal, guys. I hope Wlad's success tonite doesn't turn him into the next hug and mug Ruiz type fighter. I agree, but who's he gonna fight with a punch like Peter's? IMO that's the only reason he did that shit, surely something Manny came up with, since he never taught hearns how to hang on lol. He still had a better style than Ruiz though lol

All True Bozo, All true! I would also add that Vitali would have Knocked him out And I think he would have given major trouble for Brewster, who's another great brawler. Both Great chins, both could punch! Great fight I disagree, I think Peter's style would have been more successful on Vitali, who doesn't jab and use range like Wlad. Vitali may have stood up to the punches, but that's by no means a certin win for Vitlali just because Wlad won.
