He has haters because he is a very cocky and arrogant person.
Yeah, but look at this way. He's in his sixties, the man has seen everything. He's very aware of who he is and what he has done and accomplished. I say it's not cockiness if you've earned it. I had no problems giving the man his due because he is one of the 5 greatest trainers of all time.
Don't tell me everyone here loves Manny?
was he gerald mcellen corner that horrible night?? I dont remeber if he was still with him at that point
Steward did a great job because when Peter seemed to be gaining momentum, Klitchko went back to the gameplan and dominated. That is a great credit to the corner, to calm down a shaken fighter and get him back on track.
I love the fighting style that Wlad used against Peter. It reminds me more of Larry Holmes more than Lennox Lewis. Working behind the left jab, landing the right when the opportunity was there. And the defence, When Peter charged in it wad kinda Larry Holmesesque the way he would tie up him, and then go back to his game plan of slowly dismantling with the jab and the right hand. If it was a 15 round fight I think Wlad would have stopped him because he was breaking him down with that jab and straight right, and also Wlad's unique ability to turn the left jabs into left into damaging hooks.
It is beatifull watching fighters break you down with the left jab, making your face all f***ked swelling your eyes. Also I like the way Wlad fought conservatively in this fight. Rather than the style of all out assault from the opening bell but rather assesing your opponent and fighting the proper pace. Making constant adjustments and not overcommitting, remaining composed.
I think mostly because in the wlad/Brewster fight everyone in the room I was in could see that Wlad was punching himself out and Stewart just seemed oblivious to the fact. When Wlad came back to the corner after (I think it was the third)round Wlad was clearely gassed and needed some sage advise. Stewart instucted him in more attacking. The worst advise from a corner at the absolute worse time I have ever seen. BUT,give the man credit tonights fight plan was almost perfect so lets hope the future will be bright. Thats why I have been very leary of the Stewart Wlad combo. Stewart is an offensive specialit and Klitscko needed some defence. Tonight he had it all. Great fight by both and a great card for HBO. And even more important, we got to see it in Canada.
It's common sense. People can hate on Emanuel Steward all day long. People can say he's overrated all day long. It doesn't mean he's not good. Anybody who says he's a bad trainer is an idiot whose opinion you shouldn't be listening to.
I know, that's what I meant...
People seem to only remember him with 3 fighters....
Hamed who was not even motivated when he was with him.
Wladimir and his glass chin conspiracy which was all solved 2nite
Harris who is a dumb fuck and should be abandoned.

Why the hell must you created a thread everytime a random comment pops into your head?
It's a normal boxing question which we can have a good debate on.
If you don't like it DON'T RESPOND! FUCK MAN!
come on lil bro :-)
you and I were both to say that we 'assume' that it was him to fuck up Wlad as Vivian
he did a great job with somewhat damaged goods tonight though...
Great Job!
