I was saying fuck that to the previous responses, because people were acting like Foreman would destroy Lewis.
I guess I should have put, "Fuck That. I pick Lewis."
YOU MAY BE RIGHT, BUT YOU TOO CAN GO WRONG. I WAS IMAGINING THAT PUNCH LANDED BY GEORGE ON MOORER. IT'S ACTUALLY NOT THE STRONGEST PUNCH BY FOREMAN (ALMOST A JAB) BUT STILL IT PUT THE LIGHTS OUT ON MOORER. DO YOU THINK LEWIS CAN ABSORB SUCH?
WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON SON?!

Big George in his prime was Little George by today's standards.
There's no way all of those stats are correct.
A man George's size would not have 15" biceps, mine are bigger than that!
Keep in mind that George fought as heavy as 230 even when he was young, and he was 6'3 1/2, if you watch the rumble in the jungle, when they are recieving their instructions, George is taller. So we're talking about a weight advantage that could be as little as 15 pounds depending on George, and a 2 inch reach advantage.
I don't think it was Foreman who made Ali unable to use his boxing abilities as much as it was Ali who had a strategy of taking the best Foreman had to offer while jabbing the life out of him to eventually finish him.
Let's not forget the Foreman was dropped by fighters who didn't have nearly as much power Lewis has.
Ali boxed for the first round, and didn't think he could keep it up. He said George was alot faster than he looked, and cut the ring off very well. Bottom line, George looks alot less clumbsy and slow when you're in front of him lol
I remember when Ron Lyle had Big George down 3 times in the same round before the bell saved him. And Lyle is certainly no prime Lewis ;)
Ron Lyle was a hell of alot faster than Lewis too.
Not to mention Foreman was rusty.
You think Lewis would get up if George KD'd him?
When has he ever lol
WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON SON?!
He meant
Fuck that. Lewis.
just left out the proper punctuation

The other scenario that I could easily envision is a Lewis vs Golota blowout. Take Golota, substitute Foreman, and get the same result. It's actually not hard to imagine... ...even with a Foreman circa Frazier.
hmm
Jimmy Young put Foreman on queer street fifty times......and Lewis hit fifty times harder than Young.
1) Not even close to 50 times.
2) Like I said, after Ali, Foreman was a lost fighter. This is not the Foreman we are talking about.
There are alot more Foreman supporters than there are Lewis supporters. You know I'm far from a Lewis fan. I'm a freaking Tyson fan.
Of course you're a Klitschko nuthugger, so of course you hate Lewis. He stopped your hero.
yes im a klitschko fan...... he aint my hero but
I loves big george he's my favortie boxer then comes hagler, so i hate when lewis-foreman threads come up,
You're overrating Lewis' power, which is good but nothing that would stop a prime Foreman.

People are forgetting how big Lennox Lewis was.
McCall and Rahman are about the same size as a prime Foreman........and they got lucky with punches. Look how Lennox dealt with those smaller plodders in the rematch.
6'6 240 when skinny as a rail.
Foreman 6'4 215 when in shape.

Get those visions of post-Ali Foreman out of your head. That's not a prime Foreman. A prime Foreman would murder Lewis, straight-up.
Problem is, that was a totally different Foreman. He was not in his prime, not the same person at all once he lost to Ali and everyone knows this.
As for the size...Foreman's only lacking vs Lewis in weight. Everything else is pretty close to equal, and even then, when do BS stats like ankle size and bicep size ensure victory?
Ali was a better boxer than Lewis but Foreman made him unable to use his boxing skills. Ali knew his only chance was to let Foreman beat on him. Lewis would not be able to pull that trick.
Lewis was not out of shape for Mercer or McCall and he lost both (shoulda lost to Mercer).
Basically, it comes down to this. Lewis will get hit at some point, and therefore will get hurt at some point. Once this happens, the fight will be over. Foreman was a great finisher and Lewis would say bye bye. Lewis is not good enough to avoid Foreman's power all night, and Foreman has equal bodily strength to Lewis, if not better.
Sounds about right to me. :)
Not even close. Foreman crushes Lewis. Lewis has nothing and I mean absolutely nothing to keep Big George off of him except the ref when he is counting 10 over an unconscious Lewis.
