I Think James Toney IS UNDERATED!

I think Toney is underrated by the general public, but not commentators. He's one of my favorite fighters, and I personally give him a bit of a leg up on RJJ because throughout his entire career, he fought the best there were to fight. Oh yea, and RJJ turned down the rematch with Toney...

JT isn't better than Roy but you can argue about him compared to Bernard Hopkins.

Montell Griffin twice huh? Man did you actually see that fight or are you just saying what you hear......everybody knows he won both those fights even everybody at ringside was saying "another win for Toney" and people were shocked when he lost everybody knows both those fights had a bad decision....... so if you want to count those as a loss then go ahead but obviously you haven't seen the two Montell Griffin fights cause you wouldn't have brought that up you said he lost to drake Thadzi well damn Roy Jones lost to Glencoffe Johnson so hell what does that mean ? atleast Toney has never been knocked out TWICE its not like roy got robbed in a decision he just got knocked cold....... if you ask me Toney is Underrated for the simple fact of this size people just keep saying "oh he is to small this and to small that" but i don't see any of the title holders rushing to fight him (and that vatili thing he know he didn't really want to fight Toney he just act like he did with all that contract bullshit) and yes Toney use to be active he did 6 defense of his title in 11 months better then any other fighter i can recall......but the thing about that he had a title and he didn't have to arrange all his fights drawing up the contract and having to set the terms everybody did that for him all he had to do was read over it and sign it but now he has to do so much more so that takes away from that.....but i promise this fight coming up will not go the distance (any bets) and when he wins another title he will be super active........... truth u konw we agree on so muc..... but dam i can't agree with u here. Imo he is an alltime great but also see the other side of the spectrum some people talk like he is god too which is not accurate but he is much better than most peeps around here say.once again IMO. :D

dis foo is way overated!!! hes got skills but hes not a fighter like de la hoya, hopkins, jones, not n those names. on da serio who has he beat? in a very weak division, and the big fights he got wooped on by rjj, and lost to griffin twice! i mean hes ok. his big wins are a very old, slow out of prime holyfield, and he beat a ruiz on roids. not very impressive.

He may be overrated by some and underrated by many... What he lacks is discipline... As much as the guy is a fuckin crazy boxing master... He could've been one of the greatest if he had discipline, he could've beat Jones also and dismantled Griffin.. but NO!... He had to go smoke n drink n eat burgers and burritos and now he's fat... I hope he gets KOd because he pisses me off...

James Toney is overrated.

Simply put, I think he gets his due. He is well respected for his boxing skills and he gets some deserved criticism on the weight issue!!
