As i was watching the fight last night i wasn't really disappointed. It just seeemed like EM had a bad night. I'm sure he could beat Raheem in a rematch, and also beat anyone else in the Div. I hope people didn't lose respect for him due to his preformance in this 1 fight. I didn't dope Moreales at all in the P4P race. My question is how far done did you drop EM in your P4P rankings?
And I think for now Morales should be removed from that list. He needs a comeback fight after training in order to see what he has left at 135. At this point one would have to be uncertain....because of the one sided beating he took.
I personally feel Morales should have a total of 4 losses on his record. I have watched every Barrera/Morales fight over.....and M.A.B. won all three.
He was robbed big time in the first fight.

I think Pac is #6 now on my list of P4P fighters.
1. Mayweather
2. Barrera
3. Wright
4. Corrales
5. Judah
6. Pacquiao
jest supported wut I said. Pac would fall between #6-8 on most's lists. And like I said, Morales should drop below Pac wit that unexpected defeat .(at least by most people, including me)
Pac woulda been kicked off ta list him being #6-8 at ta time.

y drop him below Pac, he beat Pac easy, and so would Raheem, Pac can't beat a good boxer, thats y JMM schooled him from 11 rounds.
Pac beat MAB like crazy and you don't see Pac in many's P4P list ahead of MAB.
MOrales should be below Pac afta that weak one sided performance by him. I bet if Morales had beaten Pac ta way Raheem did to Morales (10-2, 11-1) Pac woulda been kicked off ta list him being #6-8 at ta time.
Erik stays in top ten, but drops below PAC and Barrera...He was soundly beaten but we have to see that he went up to 135.He was probably overlooking past the guy.Erik often talked about a PAC rematch or fighting Chico or Castillo even before he finished his business with Raheem.

I have to disagree with this one, Taylor was the better fighter, and he could beat B-Hop again, only worse the next time. where as Morales just had a bad night, i think he under estimated this guy.
I agree, on all counts. And, will add the fact that styles make fights, and Raheem was just too slick for Erik. If he had stood and traded with him a little, it wouldnt have gone the distance.
I would drop him a couple spots, he would be under Pac and Raheem though. But I think he will redeem himself and be on top of both soon.
How can anyone say that they would rate Raheem above Morales? Before he beat Morales he was nobody. He needs to prove himself a lot more before he cracks anyone's list!

Me being a morales fan I seriously disagree styles make fights and reheem was to fast for morales and could easily do it agian.
No he shouldn't be removed from the P4P list but he was SOUNDLY beaten. Even though EM beat Pac it was not a schooling session as some like to imply unlike what EM experienced Saturday. In that fight it was extremely competitive or else they're wouldn't be a rematch happening in '06. EM would have a bad night 9 times out of 10 with Raheems style. There's a reason EM hasn't fought too many guys like this & the result is what we saw. People should stop making excuses & accept the fact that he lost & he lost bad to a fighter he had no answer for.
you could drop him for now from the top 5 but not top 10 he has acomplished alot more then some of these fighters that are in the top 10 p4p just because of 1 big win like taylor and hatton and a couple others morales lost fair and square but its not like he got his ass kicked raheem would either run or hold when ever he got close to getting hit I dont know about that style? I wonder what marvelous hagler thinks about that hit and run style.
Yes...When you get outclassed like he did lastnight. yes....
And Raheem should be moved into the p4p list. Not only because of his win against Morales, but also because he is a very skilled boxer.
so do you also remove Pacman, he is still on the P4P list, yet he was schooled by EM. to me, it just looked like EM had a bad night, he was trying to test his skills instead of presuring this guy.

Well, i agree that EM was caught in a bad night and maybe he looked beyond raheem. Maybe he trained less than he did when he prepared for pac. He looked slow there or raheem is really that fast. I see in raheem a technical fighter in the caliber of JMM and PBF and just like them he won't command a PPV following like EM. I think another big fight from EM will make us sure whether he must remain a p4p or not. Giving him the benefit of the doubt.
No I don't think he should be removed. I only dropped him one spot because even though he lost big he is still one of top 5 fighters out there.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Winky Wright
3. Erik Morales
4. Diego Corrales
5. Bernard Hopkins
6. Jose Luis Castillo (If he wins Oct. 8 he takes Corrales' spot)
7. Manny Pacquiao
8. Marco Antonio Barrera
9. Kostya Tszyu
10. Ricky Hatton/Zab Judah
11. Rafael Marquez
12. Jermaine Taylor
13. Juan Manuel Marquez

Should Morales be removed from P4P list?
If we're talking about top 10,
Plain and simple.... Yes.
He was completely outclassed at 130.
Show me ONE list that has Tszyu in top 10 after Hatton beat him... and that was a war! Last night was everything but a war.. (schooling is more like it)
Show me ONE list that has Trinidad as the top 10 P4Per...
Well, you get my point...
The reason Hopkins is still on top 10.. is because most believed that the fight was a very close call and the 40 year old Hopkins put on a hell of a show with his skill, something that Morales was unable to do...
118 110? come on!
