I like Morales a lot, his style, and all that but tonights fight has me wondering.....like a lot of you guys posted on other threads, does a p4p fighter really lose 10-2 on the scorecards? Sure, any fighter has their bad day, but i mean he was DOMINATED. And remeber, Raheem was the guy that struggled with ROCKY JUAREZ...im sure Raheem changed a lot from that fight but he can only change so much. As i was watching the fight, Morales didn't try to change and adjust to fight Raheem and seemed discouraged. We'll see where he goes from here.
morales is still a P4P fighter in my opinion, i aint seen the fight but i heard he got completly dominated (which is something not even barrera has done to him) the weight could have been a problem but morales has the body to be a lightweight so i wouldnt focus too much on it, even morales gave raheem credit by saying it was more the way raheem fought, it wasnt the weight he said. morales has said he will definatly fight raheem again but hes supposed to be facing pacquaio in a few months.
even if morales does move down in weight he can still fight some good fights, he has the pacquaio fight, hopefully JMM comes up now that hes been stripped of his belts, he could even fight jesus chavez again at lightweight because some people think erik got lucky fighting him with one hand. theres still plenty of fights out there for morales, hes resume speaks for itself. i wouldnt take him off the P4P ranking list at all, although in his last 3 fights hes lost 2 and won 1. however if he fights raheem again im sure he will put on a better performance. but if he loses, thats 4 fights hes lost and 3 of them would have come in just over a year, has all the wars that morales has had finally caught up with him??
Me being a Morales fan, I want him still to move up cause hes beaten all comers at 130, I want to see the fights you mentioned as well vs Morales, I just dont want Morales ducking guys like Judah and Floyd, if Erik loses, he loses, hes already a for sure hall of famer
Naaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! moving in wieght??? (and face the winner of Castillo & Corales..) Bwa ha ha ha ha..... EM will attempting suiside!

When the rematch materialized between EM & PAC, its Pacman by KO.. Morales was so upseted a much by Raheem!!!tsk!tsk!tsk.. He will be dropping his P4P ratings!!!! its time to hang his gloves than to suffer another lose.

Ducking Judah?
Judah's the undisputed welter weight champion.
NO WAY does Morales get anywhere near 147, that's crazy.
He's pushing his luck at 135 with talk of Castillo and Corrales.
Mayweather and Judah shouldn't be on his raydar at all. That's too much to ask.
I'd give him all the props in the world for fighting Castillo or Corrales. That's balls of steel.
I disagree.
Juarez was dominating Raheem early in the fight and then shut it down with the win in the bag. Raheem was penalized 3 points for holding, which he did do but it wasn't severe. However, saying that Raheem should have got the win is not right at all. Raheem was getting his ass handed to him in the early rounds and was dropped by Juarez. After that, Juarez had a big lead and Raheem kept getting penalized. So Juarez played it safe and went on to an easy decision.
With the points taken away, no way Raheem wins, and even without them I thought Juarez won enough rounds early to take it 7-5.
Everything you said is correct
You're forgetting that Morales had difficulty making 135.
He's admitted he's having problems with the weight, said he'd only fight at 130 if it was a Pacquiao rematch, othewise intends to fight at 135 from now on.
I would like to see him fight maybe Cassamayor or Kid Diamond at 135. Not to mention Juan or Julio Diaz.

He beat juarez but was robbed
I disagree.

i doubt he beats Erik, Mab, Jmm, or manny decisvly
from what im hearen
sounds like he ran his way to a deicsion
hit and run
but its still eriks fault for not chasen him
liek i said
still havent seen the fight
once i see it
ill elaborate more
Raheem did run, but it wasnt running like Spinks Vs Mayorga, Ill give Morales this, he did knock down Raheem(not counted) but he shouldve chased Raheem at least
I think it's a bit premature to proclaim Raheem a great fighter.
He fought a great fight agaisnt Morales, but his elusive style and quick hands gave Morales trouble tonight.
He reninds me a bit of Cassamayor, but he's going to need a few more high profile wins to seal the deal.
Fortunatly for him, this win will put him in the position to make a bigger statement in more big fights.
I know its premature to call Raheem a great fighter right now, thats why i said
That may prove that Raheem is so much better than the rest of the fighters today,
if he beats the rest of the fighters, it may seal the deal for the road to greatness for Raheem
No thats not a wise idea anymore, Morales should just beat any fighter at 130, his natural weight and he'll stay on top in the p4p list, most great fighters that move up weight classes wind up fading in their career(Mosley,Trinidad, De La Hoya)

Yes, I think they would, only because of fame.
IMO he beats either one easly.
It's a credit to him that he's had success at higher weights, but it's all his choice.
He's said he wants to fight at 135 agaisnt the winner of Corales Castillo 2.
I don't think that's such a wise idea.

its what i was thinkin too
how does he reprove it?
but its not like he moved up to challenge someone already in that weifght
he moved up to fight a guy who was moven up more then him
from 126

reprove it by what, beating all the guys in his NATURAL DIVISION again, hes had the best current resume of any fighter, he didnt have to move up, he could be like Hopkins, Winky, Barrera

ZAHIR RAHEEM!!!??? He is GOOD, but he ain't no top 3 fighter...Morales sucked tonight period.
You cant discredit Raheem because he sucked tonight or had a off night, He clearly beat Morales, Raheem may be just that good

hes gonna have to reprove it
