What will Calzaghe's Excuse be after Tonight???

I dont think he'd do that, boxings only just got back on to national TV in the UK and Calzaghe wants to promote himself in front of the the UK puplic, not bore them with a one handed 12 round fight. He's just that type of fighter, he's drained at the weight and you know that causes a lot of injury problems. It might just be bruising anyway, i've had bad bruising and broken hands, they both felt the same until the next day so it could be OK. What you say could be true but he must be a very good actor. I honestly hope he is really hurt and would not do this just a bit skeptical at this point if it is proven in the future than I wish him a quick recovery and good luck......he needs it.

he may have waited until he had 4-5 rounds in the bag and saw how easy he was winning and then staged it completely but I hate to say shit like that about any fighter I really hope he is hurt and gets well soon so Lacy can eat em alive. I think he threw 3 left hand shots after the 4th in total (and that was the hand that was injured) and you could see it was a genuine injury. Watch the fight and you will realise. No excuses. It means the wait will be an extra 2 months. Is that really that unreasonable to you people? It would not be if it were anyone else.

Stop worrying people. Lacy-Calzaghe fight will happen. Joe has to be fully fit for it.

Well, hopefully the Pac/Morales fights this evening will be more exciting than this..really too bad that Calzaghe/Lacy won't be happening in the near future..why did Calzaghe take this fight? Was Ashira a mandatory or something? Otherwise, since he knows he has bad hands he should ahve just waited and fought Lacy...Lacy would have dropped his ass...
