I just want you all to remember that things are set up for your boy Pacquiao to look spectacular on Saturday night.
He's facing a brawler with, what, 10 losses on his record ?
Morales, on the other hand, is facing a very difficult opponent...one who he may struggle with before taking out.
Please temper your celebrations & the like by remembering the above...
Thanks, guys.
P.S.- I am excited to see Manny back in action, no matter who the opponent is.
lol. oN a serious note. I was not expecting that Morales Loss.
(Who was?)
This year has proven to be a year of upsets. And if there will be any top three list, The Morales fight will be the Number one IMO.
I agree, that's the biggest upset of the year...so far
That's what I want to do, create memorable threads.

I agree I put money on raheem, hey Im a gambler.
I am also getting in on those 11/1 odds, my interest generates 10 million a day so I figured what the hell and will lay down 30-50 million, at 11 to 1 odds....That insane....But I would like to make a small bet on Morales to cover in the case that I will lose...
You really think Morales will take out Raheem? Morales is testing the waters at 135 for the first time against a really tough opponent...I dont think Morales could stop Raheem at 130 let alone 135.....Either way should be a good scrap, Morales or Raheem by UD.

Ya I agree, morales is gonna have a tough fight! that is why I betted on Raheem. The guy is a slick fighter and very crafty he was able to wobble rocky jaurez and I believe if he had a different ref he would have been the first loss on rockys record at that time. Morales is not gonna have the pop at 135.
its a known fact that FOR BOTH EM and PAC although facing TOUGH OPPONENTS, the matches are nothing but TUNE-UP/TEST FIGHTS ...
BUT I WILL CELEBRATE BOTH VICTORIES (em & pac's)LIKE HELL !!!
In your honest opinion is a Morales KO a possibility?
Not at all, I expect it to be similar to Hernandez vs Morales actually....Both fighters a solid fighters and Raheem is established in my mind....If you have never seen him fight, then you must. He is a traditional boxer who is slick and has pretty good defense and likes to hit and run as noted. Which I think will cause Morales a bit of trouble but a KO wont be happening, want a KO look towards the undercard. Morales vs Raheem should be HIGHLY competitive from what I have seen from both fighters, but like I said if Raheem isnt conditionally prepared it is possible but not likely...
Raheem will cause some problems for Morales but I don't think he will be able to beat him. Even if he didn't have rust. If a shorter guy like Juarez can get to him then Morales can as well. People act like the Juarez fight was a blowout for Raheem. He struggled with Juarez almost as much as Juarez struggled with him.
Morales is longer and a much better boxer than Juarez. He will struggle with the style but figure out a way to beat Raheem.
The fact remains is that Raheem was robbed, I had him the clear winner of 3-4 rounds....That whole fight has BS written all over it and shouldnt be held against Raheem. But what DOES worry me about Raheem is that he still has a bit of rust and has only been fighting 8 rounders and that worries me because if he isnt ready to go 10-12 rounds in a tune up then he sure as hell wont be able to last 8 rounds with a fighter like Morales. Both fighters stand a very good chance of beating one another but because of Raheems rust and inactivity a Morales UD is most likely.

Yes if Rocky didn't lose to Raheem, I don't see Morales losing to Raheem. Raheem doesn't impress me, nor I think his skills are that great. Like you said Morales is 10 times better then Rocky & I agree with that. I see this fight being an easy win for Morales. However you can never count a puncher out, Velasques can punch & also can take good punch.

haha HBO Canada...like regular HBO, but with NASCAR :D .
No, we don't have HBO period, but the main sports network up here broadcasts a lot of their events (though some go to PPV instead  ). Unfortunately like all sports network they treat boxing like garbage and sandwich them in between other events that almost always go overtime.
Like I missed most of the Juarez-Soto fight because the damn Blue Jays and Tigers couldn't figure out how to score more than 2 runs apiece through 13 innings...good thing I have the Internet to download what I miss.
WTF bRo! How come your sports coverage there is messed up? I suggest you move here in the US of A. hehehehe Joke. Peace
How can you say that Raheem is the tougher fight. Raheem couldn't even beat Rocky Juarez. Raheem can't punch. Hector Velazquez is the tougher opponent, the guy can punch & his KO ratio is very good. Also Velazquez can take a good punch. I see Pac having the tougher fight, not Morales.
Simple.....it's about styles.
Velasquez is a brawler, & will play right into the hands of Pacquiao.
Raheem is a slickster, & Morales may have to hunt him down & figure him out before he ges him out of there.
so what do you suggests we do?
TEMPER YOUR ENTHUSIASM....
What I'm trying to say is....
Considering the opposition of Morales & Pac.... If Morales wins by decision & Pac wins by brutal, early KO....it doesn't mean that Pac stole the night, or was more impressive.Morales has the FAR more difficult task on his hands.
Morales is my boy but I have to admit I'm a little nervous because raheem has that style that he likes to hit and run and try to win by points he dont care if its a booring fight and he's pretty fast also so we'll see what happens.
